I had walked past this restaurant frequently in the past, but never had the time to try it out…read more This weekend I finally gave it a try.
It's located in a side street of the pedestrian zone, so easy to get to, but easily overlooked since it's a half-level below street level. Rather small, with about a dozen tables and a limited bar area, but outside tables in the summer. Due to the size, reservations are recommended, unless you're on your own or as a couple. Large groups could have problems fitting, so best for 2-4 people. When I came in on a Saturday evening at 18:30, all the free tables were reserved (but for later in the evening), so was still able to be seated.
Started off with a nice cream of tomato soup, then turkey stuffed with avocado from the seasonal menu. There's also a good selection of pasta, pizza, as well as some meat and fish dishes. Service was very prompt. Prices are slightly above average, but definitely worth the price. Not your run-of-the-mill Italian on the corner, and has the customers to match.
The staff was very friendly (offering the table in advance of the following reservation). Definitely recommended for Italian food in an upper-scale atmosphere (but certainly not pretentious).
