We had a great experience using Ami-mo. Previously we had an experience with another dog kennel that we didn't get good vibes for our pup. This was becuase we noticed when he returned from the other kennel he didn't seem right for a few days. So before a big vacation we had to look for a different place. Finding a good kennel is akin to finding a good person to trust watching your kids. For some people I'd declare its harder as some people really baby their four legged friends. We treat our little boy very well. So.... We had a referral from our neighbor that they really recommended this place.
Josee Thibeault the owner has been in the kennel business taking in dogs for a long time. You can really sense that she is a true dog lover just spending 10 minutes with her. She is bilingual as well and is very proud of her business. She was open to taking us based on a referral without even meeting our little fella. She spends whatever time you need to make sure you are comfortable and answers all of your questions. Overall I was very satisfied after talking with her for 15 minutes.
The kennel is a bit of a hike from where we live (the only slight negative) but I'd prefer we have a good place for our boy. This is a minor factor.
Here at Animo there is an inside area where each dog has their own caged in area. It's clean and didn't smell too bad based on there were 20+ dogs there during the busy summer vacation time (in August). The outside was a great open facility where many dogs were running around outside. I watched as our guy was a bit scared of all the other dogs at first but after 5 minutes he was better.
We also asked if Josee could groom our dog and she gladly did and even cleaned his ears and trimmed his nails. When I was there to pick up our fella he was smelling nice and even was sporting a nice blue bandanna.
Definitely we will come back and I'd refer anyone to Josee @ Ami-mo. She has a Facebook page and has a few dogs of her own. Overall thank you very much. We will be back again! read more
