That was definitely the highlight of the trip for sure. So, if you are coming for a tour, I'd say don't expect any life changing events or information to come your way. Before her sergeant arrived, she was leaning on my vehicle and looking through my purse, while acting as though the vehicle was hers to control. Although I was only a passenger and was ultimately cleared with no record or issues on file, she continued to speak to me in a verbally aggressive and intimidating manner. After I respectfully asked her not to speak to me further, she continued the interaction in what I perceived to be a harassing and confrontational way. I felt that she was abusing her authority rather than treating me with professionalism and respect. This was my personal experience with the Police Department, and I believe members of the public deserve to be treated fairly, respectfully, and without unnecessary intimidation.

Our car got robbed about 2-3 times after her incident since they stole the keys from her. We had to put a tracker on the car ourselves & it tracked us to this house. Turns out trackers didn't update & it was a Jon's towing I called & asked why we were not notified as to where our stolen car was. They tried saying it was topanga police station so I call them & ofc they say it's west valley & when I call west valley back they imply it was them & couldn't give me a name or reason as to why our car was taken there We were struggling w rent (getting evicted) , my mom had just got robbed of everything & now we're stuck paying 300 BECAUSE OUR CAR GOT STOLEN So don't get ur car stolen. You won't get help just transferred calls, more money to pay, & no accountability from this sorry ass police station

I learned this location is fairly new, about 5 to 6 years old. The officers at desk were constantly answering phones and helping people who walked up to desk (3 to 4 pple in my 15 minutes). I believe that our LAPD does a great job. Just be patient and kind to them since they go through so much during the course of work. If you have a good attitude, it should reflect back. The two most important things to know is that the car seat installation is free and you need to call to make an appointment. You can install the car seat yourself ahead of time and then have them check or have assistance from start to finish. When you arrive try to park in a spot where no one is next to the side of the car that you want the car seat installed on. What I appreciated the most as a first time Mom is that this wasn't just a car seat install. There was so much helpful and important information shared with me that I wouldn't have gotten had I decided to install on my own. Plus, most car seat installations are not correct so this gives me such a piece of mind to know that my baby will be safe.

Within an hour my wife, who doesn't even speak English was able to find all the socials for the criminal which we turned into the police. I kept calling "Detective" Velazquez but her response was always I haven't gotten around to it. The next time I called back she was happy to inform me that she RETURNED the purse to the driver. To which I reiterated that the driver was the one who tried to kill me. She said she would "look into it." 6 months later I received a letter saying the case was closed because they had no leads. Incompetent and lazy. People don't trust and dislike police because of cops like these.
