If you have been disappointed by the cookie-cutter massage membership business models at Massage…read moreEnvy or America's Massage, you should check out a wonderful alternative: Body and Mind Wellness on San Pedro near Indian School. The membership offers are significantly better - as is the quality of the staff. The setting is also calmer and the staff more experienced than many I have encountered. Not into memberships? Fine. You can also pay as you go. The owner, Colin, takes time to get to know you and your preferences before assigning an experienced massage therapist to work on you. You can even have massage services that are usually hard to find elsewhere such as Reiki, Craniosacral and Thai (among others). Also your massage lasts a full hour - instead of the typical 50 minutes. I did not have high expectations for Body and Mind Wellness - given my history of disappointing massages at other massage membership places - but I was very impressed - and will be back!
