Without knowing the change in family dynamics, Christina passed a lot of judgement their way and tried to sell additional services they were previously told they didn't need. Saved my son and my sanity…read more I found Joy using an internet search from Japan in 2004. My wife at the time was a mess and not getting any better. Her abuse of herself ultimately left our son in the worst kind of situation possible for a 5 year old (use your imagination). Joy provided me some guidance and I retained her for custody and divorce services. When I arrived in Tucson we met soon to go over documentation I had collected and to file paperwork to keep my son in AZ and to have monitored visitation. A man obtaining custody is never easy. Joy walked me through it all, sat next to me in court, and kept me strong through the process. Fast forward to 2019. The last time I saw my ex-wife she was on a lockup show on TV. My son is 22, and a Navy nuke guy on a sub. He is doing well because I was able to parent him separate of a person who cannot take care of herself. Joy and her team made this possible. As an active duty Marine with minimal income, this is by far the best money I have ever spent. Joy's experience and relationships in the Pima County legal community enabled her to represent me and my son exceptionally.

You may not want to hire Mr. Longenbaugh based on my experience. He is disrespectful and lacks…read morecourtesy. He was hired to handle my ex-husband's estate, a very simple estate where I was the sole beneficiary and my sister, personal representative. Mr. Longenbaugh was over the top in his need to be informed of even the smallest details i.e. that I did not call and tell him I'd paid a $40 medical bill that went to collection (he had advised me not to pay any bills). He wanted "proof." I paid all bills from my personal account as the estate was insolvent. I didn't feel the need, as sole beneficiary, to provide these small details and in turn, be charged for his time. We hired him - not the other way around. In the end, I paid Mr. Longenbaugh $5,367.11 for which he provided almost no service. The probate papers he filed with the court can be obtained through the Arizona Bar Association. Beyond the initial filings, very little was done although he continued to "review file" at a fee of $300 per hour. After five months of silence, I requested a status update. He requested more documentation. When what I provided to the best of my ability was "inadequate," he wrote an exceedingly contentious, slanderous letter stating that he was filing a motion to withdraw as attorney and asked for our consent. We consented. The motion Mr. Longenbaugh filed stated he was withdrawing "pursuant to the request of its client." This is a false statement and, in my opinion, unethical. As is leaving probate open until I am able hire another attorney.

As soon as court was over today, I knew I had to write this review because Danette deserves it…read more Today was the last day of my divorce trial after almost 3 years. It was one of the hardest, most exhausting, and nastiest experiences of my life. My husband didn't want me to have anything, and some of what was said throughout this case was unbelievable. Through it all, Danette never backed down. She fought for me every step of the way, made sure my voice was heard, and went above and beyond in ways I never expected. From the beginning, I felt like my case mattered to her. I never felt like I was just another client. Danette has the biggest heart. She's kind, caring, easy to talk to, and a true people person. Sometimes it didn't even feel like I was talking to an attorney because she made me feel so comfortable. What impressed me most was how smart she is and her incredible memory. My case lasted nearly three years, and she remembered details that I had completely forgotten. More than once I found myself wondering, "How does she remember that?" Sometimes I felt like she was part attorney and part detective because she caught things and connected details that others missed. She always knew my case inside and out. Danette was always surprising me. She went above and beyond in ways I never expected. She reached out to people who could help strengthen my case, and she never stopped looking for ways to help me. Her kindness, compassion, and belief in me meant more than she'll ever know. I don't need to share all the details, but I will never forget them. There honestly aren't enough words to express how grateful I am for her. Outside the courtroom, Danette is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. But when she walks into the courtroom, watch out. She becomes a completely different person in the best possible way. She is sharp, confident, fearless, and knows exactly what she's doing. Watching her represent me was amazing. She fought for me with everything she had and made sure my side of the story was heard. I don't know the judge's decision yet, but I do know that Danette gave my case everything she had. I saw it, I felt it, and that's why I wanted to write this review as soon as court was over. I would recommend Danette over and over again. Not that I want anyone to go through a divorce, but if you do, she's exactly the person you want standing beside you. Thank you, Danette. I'll never forget everything you've done for me. B

She frequently came to court unprepared and requested numerous continuances causing the divorce to run nearly five years. What was most disconcerting is that she lied three times to the Judge while the evidence countering her claims were part of the exhibits. Her peers describe her tactics as "throwing everything against the wall, right or wrong, then seeing what sticks". Her services will cost a lot of money with very little results.
