I drive up Lomas past the Garden Center all the time but I only recently read the sign and decided to look up what it was. Behind all the trees, there is a little Albuquerque gem. I looked up their website and read all about a plant sale they had going on. I got two cute little plants and was excited to see the space. The actual gardens were closed when I went but I want to go back to check them out. I would also definitely go back for another plant sale, the prices were great and they had some fun stuff to choose from. One note, the parking is terrible when they are super busy. I doubt that they are super busy too often, probably only for events and such but when it is, getting in and out is a huge pain.

There are some rules like no bubbles or confetti, but they are all outlined in contract. We had employees there to supervise and help out. Because it was early April and the gardens don't open till mid April we couldn't have the ceremony in the gardens. It turned out to be less expensive. But when it came time for taking pictures, the staff let us and some of our guests take photos in the garden. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. They made for a beautiful backdrop for our photos. Although it was not open on the weekends, there is a garden shop that sells fun garden themed items. There is a small courtyard in the front which also makes for good pictures. What's interesting is that the building itself doesn't look that special as I would drive past it every day and wouldn't have known about it if wasn't for the sign. It's a great hidden gem in the middle of Albuquerque and was a very nice venue to have a wedding.

We were given a very nice tour of the facility. I can see that it is a work in progress and believe it is going to be an extremely great place for those who need space. they provide private offices for rent, big rooms for classes or lectures, and small meeting rooms. I already have an idea how I can utilize the space. There are some fantastic features from when the place was built over a 100 years ago. Let's See this place grow.

Don't assume just because it makes perfect sense to you, that the other 99% of us dense folks will know exactly what you meant. And, no, this business has absolutely nothing to do with fowl of any kind that I can discern. It is actually a great Co-Working Space. I stopped in to Free Range for an event that was happening there. While I was there, I asked to have a tour of the space. They were surprised, but very accommodating. I was surprised at how large a space it is and how many different options to work, collaborate and hold meetings of different sizes are available. Private office spaces. Conference rooms and large meeting rooms. Bright and airy spaces. Not cramped / swished together spaces that I have seen in some co-working spaces. If you are looking for an every-now-and-then space, or a more permanent "office" space, check out Free Range. Ask for a tour. They have plenty of parking . . . .and even a 2nd location in Nob Hill, if this location just west of the University doesn't work for you. Why did I only give them four stars? Well, because I haven't actually worked there . . .yet. But, when and if I need a co-working space, this will definitely be my go-to option.

We had to book through an athlete travel portal so choosing room or accommodations wasn't as easy as booking through Marriott normally is. I had called ahead of time and said we had three people and so if we had to be in a one king room, if we could get a room with a sleeper sofa or a rollaway bed. They said to call before we arrived and double check. I called while on our drive to NM and asked about the accommodations and the agent said the hotel was fully booked with several soccer teams and people in town of the pow wow, but ask when we checked in for a rollaway bed. We arrived Friday night around 8pm and at the check in desk, asked about the rollaway bed and were told they were all checked out. Now this used to not be an issue when it was us and our son traveling with one king bed when he was little, but three grown adults in one king bed isn't an option and logically wasn't even feasible. We set up a small air mattress we'd brought with us as a last resort, and our son was less than thrilled that he drew the short straw for the night. I told him I'd keep trying to get a better solution for the next night. Room wise, it was okay. There definitely some signs of the hotel showing its age (chipped furniture, broken shower tiles, water damage in the bathroom) but the shower had good water pressure and got hot fast. The beds themselves were decently comfortable (much more so than the air mattress, sorry kid). The hotel is so close to lots of food options too, which is nice when you're unfamiliar with the area but have people to get fed at all hours of the day and night. In the morning we went down to the free breakfast and it was pretty respectable. I really appreciated the 24 hour self serve water and coffee and that there were milk alternatives provided. There were also gluten free options for muffins and bagels (Udi's). I took full advantage of the plethora of toppings for oatmeal or yogurt. The sugar crusted Belgian waffles were different but seemed to be a big hit. There were also options available for hot food, like egg sandwiches. The attendant was doing a good job of making sure it was stocked and clean. I stoped by the desk on our way to ask about our rom situation and the agent said she'd look into it for us. When we got back from the soccer game, I stopped by the desk again and asked if a rollaway bed had become available. The agent said she would check with housekeeping and call me in my room to let me know. A few minutes after we got back to our room, she called and said there were no rollaway beds but if we could switch right then and there they could move us to a double bed room. We packed up so fast!! We were super thankful that everyone would be able to get a much improved night of sleep from the night before. We got settled into our room and watched some solid hotel tv. The second room wasn't facing directly over the pool and the fan had a constant speed option to provide white noise so the AC wasn't constantly turning off and on either. Those two things also helped us sleep better the second night. There are several hotels on the same half mile row but this was good option overall.
