He told me that most candle producers (including Yankee) will fill the candle jar with unscented wax almost to the top, then let that settle and top the jar with the frangranced wax. I believe this because candles do tend to lose their potency. These guys use frangranced wax to fill the whole jar. They have quite a list to choose from and will deliver. I've given many as gifts and had requests to buy more when I travel to Kentucky. Some favorites are Kentucky Sunrise, Ale-8 Soda (Looking at your Reed N.), Daffodil Fields, Strawberry/Champagne and Graham Cracker. If you have a favorite from Yankee Candle, they can provide a better version. Just taking the lid off will smell up the whole room. ***After reviewing their website it seems they have been selling nationwide and I suppose that is why they have changed their candle names to be non KY related. Ale-8 is now Ginger Ale and Kentucky Sunrise is just Sunrise. ***

She greeted me as soon as I entered & got me started with the process. She balanced proving service with me & other guests very well. She provided clear instructions & eventually I had a one-on-one experience. She answered all of my questions about this new business. It's clear she's passionate about being there and enjoys what they offer. She confirmed that this business is owned by a black woman. I love supporting all women in business! I filled the two jars I came with and added another as a gift for my Mom. Pour process was very easy and mess-free. I like the variety of scents and candle jars available. I feel like there is really something for men & women. There space can accommodate moderately large size groups (up to 60 people). I definitely want to return during their self-care Sundays and get some body butter or other body item. I'm very pleased with my selections. I burned one candle already & it smells great & my living room space was filled perfectly with the scent I created in the air! I went in by myself as I was dying of curiosity, and there was a large party and a couple of small groups. I selected my scents - and selected too many, so got some help winnowing down. One of the staff walked me through the candle making process and they even give you fun glitter to put in it, so it looks like a little glitter mountain is burning! The essential oil scents are widely varied and they don't just have candles- you can make anything from dryer balls to body spray. I had an extra candle made for a friend, and they will keep my scent combo for a time, so I can always return to have more made! You've got to go back in to pick up the candle the following day, but it is worth it.
