The spaces for our 40 ft rig were not level. It was a pain to get it to a decent point. They had 50 amp spaces. No WiFi, which made our stay frustrating. There is laundry but we didn't make use of it. The showers are meh...clean enough for me to use it. I used my shower slippers and did not focus on looking at the nasty shampoo caddy that should be cleaned at least every other day so it's acceptable to clean people like me. The bathroom is clean. There is no lock on the ladies entry door. This place was close to the NP which is why we stayed here. read more

This is the worst RV park we ever booked. I say booked because it was so bad we left. No one was there to check us in. We paid for a 60 foot pull through space and there none, not any of the spaces were 60 ft pull throughs we kept calling the number that was provided to us and no one answered. We called our credit card company and disputed charges but they were not able to reverse charges as we did not call within 48 hours to cancel even though they lied about accommodations. It was a dump of a place. Do Not Book anything from Ameristar they are swindling the public. read more

Good - they had availability (clue number 1) and it was cheap (clue number 2. Took a spot on the back row with several spots in between. Around 3pm that afternoon the furthest back RV pulled in 2 dump trucks and power washed their trucks - for "2 1/2 HOURS". read more

Good location off I-20..... we called ahead for reservations and the lady was friendly and helpful. When we arrive.... again, very helpful staff. We have a 43 Ft Class A... and had no problems turning in and around to get to our site. (#60). We originally were only going to stay 2 nights.... but ended staying 3. Though the Historical town has a lot of closed stores, there is still Lots to do here.... Vicksburg Battlefield, & USS Cairo Ironclad boat are both stunning presentation of preserving history. Then to the Historical Court House.... amazing. Surprisingly, we Spent 3 hours there. Then the Coca Cola Bottling Museum and down to the Lower Mississippi River museum..... also amazing. Stopped off at the National Biscuit Co for a drink & light snack .... it's the old building of Nabisco, Co. Cool bar now called " The Biscuit Co.". Anyway..... having never camped here.... we felt it was a great place to stay while exploring the Vicksburg Historical area. We would stop here to camp again. read more

Had a difficult time securing a space, because I couldn't get ahold of anyone. Finally called the casino direct and a very helpful lady got us scheduled. Arrived at 1 in the afternoon and the campground office was locked up. Our reservation was taped to the door. Trees in the campground are not trimmed and hag low in the roads. The bathrooms and laundry were locked and pool was disgusting. read more

Expected better kept grounds. Many of the concrete pads are all busted and cracked. No cable, no Laundry. Several sites closed for repair.

Just the basics. A fairly level concrete pad, full hook ups. No wifi. Didn't check out the showers or bathrooms. Lots of highway noise. I wouldn't stay for more than 1 night next time. read more

Once again we gave this place a try STILL no pool it's full of water but the gates were chained and locked at 3 pm no one in the office.... DO NOT STAY HERE if you have kids nothing for them to do... THE ONLY plus is easy on and off, the interstate... Quillys Magnolia just up the road is much better we will stay there from now on.. They at least value guest with children!!! read more

We stop here every year on our way south for the winter & home. it used to be a lot better when they had the shuttle to take you from the rv park to the casino. we tow a vehicle & it's not worth unhooking to go to the Casino & restaurant. it is a long terrible walk up hill from the park to the casino & us old folks can't do it anymore! please bring the shuttle back & cable tv would be nice too. read more

Very quiet and nice park. That being said, there was no one ever in the office and I don't think they cared if you contacted the casino to pay or not. The 4 days we were there, people came and went in rvs that told us they didn't pay and weren't going to. They had two washing machines and one dryer. read more

The sign is amazing !! Pool and office are ok !! The RV Park are cement pads BUT ... things that you need to know Not all hookups are 50 amp (which they should all have 20 ,30 and 50 amp at each site )! No place to put trash ... what !!!! Need to trim trees so your pull outs will fit .. hello maintain your property!! They put you in with People that live there long term .. hello ... they need to be in the back due to they have a lot of stuff blocking your site ... again maintain your RV Park !! read more

Nice RV park to stop at off of the interstate highway on the way to Jackson Mississippi from Lufkin Texas. Good concrete pour through spots inconvenient to the Casinos if you want to do a little gambling. We were disappointed in the Buffet lunch is served at the locals casinos. Nothing special! I would recommend probably checking out some of the local restaurants. read more

Very convenient to area attractions and the historic district. Excellent WiFi. Bathrooms/ shuttle service / pool shut down due to Covid. Sites are ok, needs trees trimmed and sites trimmed up but honestly that wasn't a big deal. The Office staff was very nice. read more

Nice and clean, office and restroom shower area very new. Space 12 has very large tree nice level pads with full hookups, very limited cable tv and low end wifi. Quiet park at $25 central to everything can't go wrong! read more

We have visited this RV park a number of times so we were surprised when we arrived this season early in the day and they said that there were no-spaces available. We inquired as to when they did their cancellations and were told that they did them at 6 pm. We then asked if we could wait on the chance that a space would be available. They said yes, you can wait at the parking lot next door and we'll come get you if a space opens up. However, while waiting at the adjoining parking lot we noticed RV after RV pull in, and then after the customers would come out of the office they would proceed to a space, one even seemed to have their choice of a space as they walked around looking and pointing at a few different spaces before selecting one. After about 10++ RV's pulled in we started to wonder if we were being told a lie. Yes, a lot of people do make reservations in more popular tourist areas and peak seasons however; a big part of RVers do not, especially off-season and after not seeing a SINGLE RV being turned away, which would have been the case if they were full, I walked into the office and reception room, sat in a corner chair near the TV and sure enough, the next two RV's arrived, and alas neither customer had a reservation but quickly received a space. When I confronted the front desk about this I received a confusing mash of excuses why they received a spot and we hadn't. Of course, they then provided us a space but I felt seriously uncomfortable with how it was handled. read more

Sites are close. Park was freshly mowed but lacked edging around the pads (not very wide). We had an ant bed at electric hookup. Interstate noise at night but just turned fan up to drown most of it out. Had to move picnic table over to avoid hitting fifth wheel while turning into pad (class a motor home had same issue). Tight turns if you are traveling in a Class A or anything over 35 feet long. Price was $24 so can't complain too much! read more

Ameristar Casino & RV Park, Vicksburg HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! Arrived at the Ameristar Casino and RV Park then the drama began.... driving here I called the RV office number because we never received the email confirmation with credit card receipt from our call last evening making the reservation, my call got routed to the main casino, person said check in at the RV office. Okay Got to the RV park; office NOT open, NO reservation paperwork on door, signage said pool NOT open, NO shuttle to casino as advertised. Called the number again, some one at casino said pick a 50 amp spot and she would call us back to get our site number. So we picked picked #7 got barely in and level only to find the 50 amp receptacle was broken... retracted jacks and moved over to #6. Sites here so short our 36' with tow car doesn't fit, we hang out in the road front and back and the sight is horrible, not level front to back nor right to left. Sites seem only suitable for extremely short Class C or Class B/camper vans or little trailers. We were looking forward to the buffet, but too far of a walk and disconnecting car not option. RV park is across the road uphill then down hill to the casino on the river, having microwave dinners in the coach instead. Customer service sucks, don't recommend this place and we won't be back. Oh we got here and talked to the casino at 3pm, it is not 5:30 and they haven't called to get our site number. read more

As it says in the name, this is an RV Park - not a campground. This is a great place to stay for a few nights while touring Vicksburg and Natchez. The lots are nice with a grass area and picnic table. Some have trees that provide a bit of shade (if you check in early enough you can ask for one those sites). The rest rooms and showers at the office are locked after 5:30 and you'll need an access code. If you are going to check in after hours - you won't have access until the next morning. We stayed 3 nights in a travel trailer and were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations after reading some of the reviews. Would definitely recommend. read more

I called early in the day for a reservation. Check-in was at 4pm but we arrived around 3pm and were given a site. We planned to stay overnight but ended up staying an additional night to catch up on some rest. It's located only 4 blocks from I-20, past the casino and hotel. The park is in a basin so there's a steep downhill road and sharp right turn to get to the office. All sites are pull-thru with cement pads. Very level. Hookups are way in the back, particularly the sewer which is at the back end of the pad. We ended up using 25' of sewer hose stretched out to connect. Pad was a little too narrow for our motorhome. Water pressure was awesome. Wifi was weak. No playground, no off leash dog park but there's plenty of grassy area in the perimeter to walk the dogs and it's kept fairly clean. There's a small trash bin every 2-3 sites. Security drives thru 24/7. Park is really lit up at night, street lamps everywhere, feels almost like daytime. This is a well-maintained park. We saw them trimming trees and removing dead branches. You can get to the casino by calling for a shuttle and they pick up/drop off at your site. Office staff was helpful, personable. We would certainly return. read more

Park is clean. People are very nice. Thought I liked staying here...computer doesn't work to check in, go to do laundry NOT washers don't work and the wifi is just about the worst/slowest that I've ever experienced. So sad. read more

Nothing to write home about. We have @45' MH very tight spots good enough for overnight stay.

We had trouble getting to Florida for Xmas due to a broken axle. Glad we broke down here. The park is full of spacious pull through sites, nice bathrooms and showers, and a super friendly staff that went out of there way to gift us for Xmas. Rates are greats, the casino ain't bad at all (has on demand shuttle), and shopping is close by. We have felt very safe and welcomed here during our stay, would absolutely recommend! read more

Very nice place, small but clean laundry room and restrooms and there is a TV room to watch while waiting, nice. Level sites mostly and free shuttle to casino, but too far to walk to get downtown for other restaurants and museums. read more
