Stay away from this place! Arrived to find the restaurant wasn't open, no food or drink served. Maintenance man comes over to tell me to be quiet and that he could hear me all over the place. Which honestly, I don't speak loud and it wasn't in a silenced area. I couldn't get over his rudeness. My friend complained as did I, to the receptionist. Although we asked to hear from the manager no more was done to make us feel satisfied that our complaint was received and no apology was acknowledged. Bonjour, mon amie et moi sommes allées pour la 1ere fois au Amérispa Cantley. En arrivant la réceptionniste nous avise que le bistro est fermé pour la journée et que si nous voulons manger pendant la journée nous devons nous rendre à l'épicerie ou au Subway (en voiture) et revenir après. Elle nous avise aussi qu'un des bains tourbillon est inutilisable. Nous avons toutes 2 un soin réservé à 11 h. Ensuite, nous avons essayé de profiter des installations. Tout semble désuet et mal entretenu (photos à l'appui). L'autre bain tourbillon fonctionne à peine, le sauna sec n'est pas assez chaud, les douches froides (une citron, l'autre menthe) ne fonctionne presque pas et aucune odeur détectable, peu invitantes. c'est sale et mal entretenu partout. Pas relaxant et pas invitant. de plus, en aucun temps lors de la réservation on m'a avisé que le bistro était fermé (quelqu'un nous a avisé que ça faisait au moins une semaine). C'est notre pire expérience de spa à vie et nous n'y retourneront plus. read more

Tired of the hustle of the super busy Spa Nordik in Celsea where all the Ottawa yuppies hang out and talk like valley girls? Come to this Amerispa in Cantley! The restaurant's menu sucks so bring some snacks for after soaking. Maybe bring ear plugs if you want quiet time. Like its competition in Chelsea, this spa isn't too keen on taking a stand on loud gossippy girls and couples. BUT, it's cheaper and less crowded than the other spa. Its hammam (turkish wet spa) is gorgeous, large and clean. There's lots of wide sturdy hammocks for rocking in the sunshine, in the summer. In the winter, there's a nice fire inside the large lodge, but beware, sometimes people hog it a little bit. There's another room, the yoga room, where lounge chairs are with a gas fireplace. It's quietest there and so nice, the view. ps, ladies/gentlemen who need to talk at the spa.... stay home. Or go to the restaurant! Or your car. In a world of shouting and constant talking and information, just hush. It's nice, and it's better if you focus on your body and relaxing. I always bring a book to entertain myself. It can be hard to be silent, but just do it... or stay the fuck home! No one wants to hear you say: it's soooooo hot in this hot tub! ... my neck hurts ... ohhhhh this one is very cold .... I'M SWEATING! .... etc pps, they provide the robe and one small towel. I sometimes bring an extra towel. You can buy flips flops for like $10 or something. read more

Spent a pleasant Sunday afternoon enjoying the baths and saunas with my wife. While we're not "spa people", the Amerispa in Cantley is thoroughly enjoyable. It was very quiet; we felt we had the entire place to ourselves at times -- just the way we like it. We had a delicious lunch in the restaurant, splitting a grilled pesto chicken sandwich and fresh green salad: it was a generous portion and great value. Though I did have to send back my draft beer which arrived warm (no problem with the second pour). This is a great alternative to the hassles you get at Chelsea's Le Nordik, though the Amerispa owners need to keep an eye on detail. A deep cleaning to remove a ring of grime around the pools would be in order. The staff are very pleasant too, and were helpful in locating a pair of sunglasses I had left behind. Check out the very reasonable prices -- a full day is $44 and evenings are only $34 (+ tax) for access to the baths. Three- and 6-month memberships are great deals for regulars. read more

I kinda don't want to write a review on this place because I want to keep this place a secret and all to myself lol. Ok as you can see from the 4 stars I love this place. It's smaller than the nordique but also quieter. It's got a very large steam room, sauna, cold, hot, asks week poops as well as several relaxing rooms. I haven't tried the food or the services here yet. This place offers free lockers, sandals, bath robe and towels and the piece is about 40% cheaper than nordique. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the saunas WAY too hot. The little piece of metal on my bathing suit was literally burning me and my nose hairs felt like they were on fire. I wasn't able to stay in there more than 2 mins which was disappointing since I love saunas. So if next time I'm there the sauna is not scorching hot, I'd be a really happy camper. read more

We originally drove to Nordik but it was a 2 hour wait so we found this place and gave it a try! It wasn't too busy, maybe 15-20 people so definitely more peaceful than Nordik. However it wasn't the cleanest, the tile was a little scummy and slippery and there wasn't as many saunas and aromatherapy options. Definitely a good alternative to Nordik if you want something less crowded it's just not as grande. It has more of a public pool feel and less of a spa feel. read more

I needed to change a reservation no one confirmed no one called me back, they call me back at the time of my schedule massage to ask why I am not there and that they will charge me.
