We had such a wonderful experience with the Jump Start classes at Goldfish Swim School in Malvern!…read moreMy daughter went from having zero swimming ability to confidently swimming all over the pool in just three weeks. The progress she made was truly incredible! After only three weeks of classes with her instructor, Jayln, she was jumping in and out of the pool, rolling onto her back to float, diving for toys, and swimming around confidently without struggling. We went on vacation right after her third session, and we were amazed to see her confidently swimming and moving around even in the ocean! Jayln was an amazing instructor, so attentive, patient, encouraging, and great with our daughter. She made the lessons fun while helping her build real skills and confidence in such a short amount of time. We absolutely loved her and are so grateful for the foundation she gave our daughter. We couldn't recommend Goldfish Swim School and Jayln more! Going from not being able to swim at all to having this level of confidence in just three weeks was beyond what we expected.

If you miss a class you receive a make up token but you can't actually use that on the day of your enrolled class, it has to be another day. So you will basically be charged for every class at the beginning of each month, regardless of how many make up tokens you have - which doesn't really make sense to me. Instead of problem solving the person I spoke to on the phone talked over me and just unenrolled my toddler from the class. She said we will be switched to "a pay as you go" instead. A few minutes after the call I checked my account and all the make up tokens were gone because she used those as credit for the month. I didn't even get the chance to verify how many make up tokens I had left. We have a pool at home and loved these classes to teach my son the skills needed to swim. My plan was to keep my son enrolled because he just started really enjoying the lessons but we will just carry on with the lessons learn from his swim coach Delisa.

Aside from the swimming, I love it as a parent. Their portal is easy to use, booking and makeups are all online, and no set sessions to deal with for scheduling. Things like that make a huge difference!

However, I don't recommend this swim school because in months of lessons my seven year old has made no progress in learning to swim. She still won't even put her face in the water. I am aware that there may be a range of abilities among kids, but it's reasonable to expect some progress. And, if my kid were having particular issues preventing her from learning, someone at the school should have talked to me about it, which has not happened.

What I completely disagree with is how they charged me for one class 3/30 +the membership fee $27 (totaling $49.75) THEN charged my account the monthly fee of $100 beginning 4/1. The monthly & membership fee is understandable (other than the fact they never tell you how much the membership fee actually is in the policy). It's the charging me for ONE class on 3/30 that actually was canceled on their behalf & was rescheduled for 4/1. Why would am i being charged for a class i didn't attend? Why doesn't the policy state that you'll be charged/ billed separately for the first class attended of X amount of dollars regardless if it was actually the first of the month + billed monthly the same day/week? I never actually even got to attend the classes 3/30???
