I had an extremely frustrating experience with AmeriGas. My propane tank had never given me any problems, but it began leaking after AmeriGas filled it. Getting in contact with them during portions of my service was also extremely difficult. Before the tank was removed, I contacted AmeriGas and specifically asked to speak with a manager in an attempt to resolve the situation. Despite that, the tank was removed, and I was later hit with more than $500 in disputed service, pickup, dispatch, and early termination charges. I escalated the matter to AmeriGas Customer Advocacy, but they ultimately offered no meaningful resolution. Between the leak, poor communication, and how the final dispute was handled, I was extremely disappointed with the entire experience. There are several other propane companies in the area, and in my experience, I've received much better service elsewhere. read more

For the second consecutive year they will not light my pilot light for the fireplace. They sold this fireplace to me nine years ago. Their prices have come up, their service is about as low as can be rated. Other companies try to work with you. They try to work against you. read more

I don't know what is wrong with this company, but they can't seem to manage their accounts. We moved from our home back in July 2019. I called them and told them we were moving and asked them to stop service. They said they would, but to do that we would need to have them remove the tank and there wouldn't be any refund on remaining gas. I hated to do that, because I figured the new people moving in would want it for the gas fireplace, but I agreed to that. I paid in full for the gas in the tank. I continue to receive past due bill notifications about once a year. I've called and written multiple times to explain we moved a long time ago, etc. - no response at all - just more past due notifications. They must have a small child managing their books. Stay away from this place and go with another carrier! read more

Had our propane gas tank installed, during the process to setup the appointment I asked numerous times how much everything was going to cost, to which the lady told me around 130$ and that filling the tank is only around $100 when it NEEDS TO BE REFILLED- so I asked AGAIN - it's only $130 for everything? To which she said YES. I said that's great, sign me up. My first bill arrives and sure enough - $133. BUT then I get a second bill for ANOTHER $221!!! Gas IS NOT $100 to REFILL the tank, it's close to $200!! So now, instead of the $130 they led.me to believe I was paying for EVERYTHING like I asked, it's close to $400!!!!!! Unreal. I'm PISSED, and they didnt even include the military discount that they said they were. read more

I second the above review, they charge a fee for will call or whatever they call it and NEVER call. Been on and off to fill the tank ~ 7 working days now. read more

Do NOT utilize this company! Office staff is clueless and they do not deliver in a timely manner at all! Multiple calls to get them to come out and fill your propane tank! read more
