Wish I can leave less than one star, this company certainly would deserve that. Their Customer Service people are totally tone, deaf. During the coldest time of the year, last January 9 my furnace stopped working. I called my hvac technician, we explored the Furnace and could not find a problem, my propane tank was a little low, but not nearly empty... I had the tank filled up by Amerigas and the service technician left. Still no heat in my home, outside temperatures below zero. my furnace repairman came out again and discovered that the pressure regulator that belong to Amerigas was not working, probably frozen, he hit it and got it flowing! My frustration comes that I later found out that frozen pressure regulator was obsolete, (no longer recommended for use) the Amerigas technician, didn't check it and was content to leave me in the cold. At those temperatures, this could've been life or death. Do not trust this company, they are dangerous in how much they just don't care! read more

Well we have been trying for 3 weeks to have gas delivered,we have always paid are bill.It's-2.6 degrees had to lower thermostat down to 60 because are tank is on 15 I think when call it will go to a call center in Asia I want to speak to supervisor well that was just as bad. oh we will del today .This has been going on for 3 weeks .I have 10 emails that I will save.Someone needs to file a class action lawsuit!!! read more

First of all the Technicians (Delivery guys in Big trucks) SHOULD Call and or Text as PROMISED by Customer Service person promised BEFORE showing up-This DID NOT happen-and most IMPORTANTLY as I was completely EMPTY in tank and Freezing -and anxiously waiting- come outside to see Paperwork on Front Door-No he did NOT KNOCK on the DOOR-just left !! Wrote on paper that he needed to get INSIDE and NoOne was Home so he JUST LEFT!!!!. Today is following day-SAME EXACT THING happened! It's 11:00 am and I am in very High Blood Pressure Mode! They are THE WORST! Stuck with this biz as park Owner gets kickbacks & too expensive to change out! Or I CERTAINLY WOULD! Do not use Amerigas!! The service is horrible, we scheduled an appointment my husband took off work the day of the appointment and no one called, no one showed up. I spent the whole next day trying to get service. I was told the next day they would be out, no one called, no one showed. Then i got a customer service rep that said she would expedite the order and transferred me to someone who was supposed to be a supervisor, Sampson and he tried to charge me $300 for the expedited service!!! mind you we have already paid for the service that we have not received!!! !!! STOP !!! Do NOT get mixed up with this company. As a respected Local Guide, I strongly advise getting your propane ANYWHERE else. In Feb of '21, they installed my tanks. There was an AC in the window right by where they installed the tanks. They proceeded to FILL the tanks 3 times over the next year with the AC still in the window. August '22, I get a message saying there was a problem filling my order, that my tanks - get this - were within ten feet of an AC unit, and that I would have to remove the unit or pay to have the tanks moved. I told them they installed the tanks next to the AC, if the tanks need to be moved, they're going to do it for free. Fast forward to Oct '22. Placed an order on the 10th. A full week later and the tanks were still not filled with a weather advisory for a freeze tonight. Opened a dialog with them and told them they need to fill the tank today. Despite there being an Amerigas truck in my neighborhood when I pulled in this evening, my tanks had not been filled. I have fired Amerigas. They are now trying to stick me with a $150 early termination fee because they couldn't deliver as well as the $150 tank removal fee (fair enough on the tank removal fee). I'm getting a lawyer. There are a lot of other propane sources in the area, literally anybody else will serve you better than you will be served here, and they will do so without all the little hidden fees, expenses and long-term contracts that these frauds will. read more

When Amerigas closed the local Youngstown office and consolidated customer service, they stopped monitoring us for automatic refills and ran us out of gas during the coldest week of Jan 2023. They weren't able to fill our underground tank until 4 days later. We had no heat or hot water during that time. I got no explanation for the failure or assurance that they would monitor us for automatic refilling so I'm switching providers once our tank gets below 20%. read more

If negative 1000 stars was an option, that is what I would give. We moved from the city to the country in 2022 and was told that I could only have my tank filled by AmeriGas. Fine. First time they filled it, the gal said they monitor it and will fill it again when it gets low. They did not. I had to reach out to them numerous times and when they finally do show up, they didn't even fill it all the way. And the guy gives me some BS line about it not really being at 5%, it's 15%, the gauge needs calibrated. THEN CALIBRATE IT! DUH! So he fills it to only 70% and swears its really at 80%. Sure dude. And then big effing surprise, 2 months later it is empty AGAIN and they were supposed to come today, but at 3:30 in the afternoon, I get another robot call to verify my delivery for tomorrow!!!! what happened to my delivery that was supposed to come today?? There's no way to talk to a human in this country let alone, state or city! And gawd forbid you get to talk to someone in the local office that actually does the deliveries!!! WTF?! so now my tank is at 0%, it's 19 degrees outside, only to get colder tonight and no one that works for this shitty company can tell me when my propane is being delivered. We currently have a monthly budget plan for propane. Our settlement month is July. I never got the statement for our settlement payment this year. I called. I asked perfectly rational questions of the woman who answered my call- such as was July still the settlement month, how much did we owe (even though our budget payment for 2023 was double from 2022) and why I had 3 different totals from the online account and the 2 phone calls. The woman hung up on me. That was so professional. I still have no idea what we owe and can't make the payment because their online payment site is a the most ridiculous site I've used in my life. It never tells me what my payment is even though I get a statement each year telling me what my monthly budget payment is. I really dislike this company and am advising people to avoid using them.​​ read more

A man came out to install the auto detection device over a month ago. Works great, I can see my tank on line. Will help with auto delivery. We were supposed to get a delivery 2 weeks ago, even confirmed my auto payment budget, AND received an email to make sure the area was clear of snow. I'm now at 8%!! This over seas call center is a joke! Constant runaround. Awful language barrier! "There is a block on my delivery" Why! The system did it. WHY DAMNIT! No clue. The Ravenna Ohio location has a driver that looks for every way possible to not fill your tank. The last time I called he came out to tell me the belly of the tank is touching the ground so he can't fill it. The time before that we were doing an addition on our home and had a temporary line installed on our tank by an Amerigas person, and this same driver said that he didn't like the looks of the temporary line so he would not fill. Another instance was when i had called for a fill up and he was supposed to be here on a specific date. He came 6 days late and stepped in dog doo, got upset, and refused to fill the tank because the yard was not picked up. I have called the 800 number to let them know their customer service is awful and I was very displeased with all the goings on and the call center is even worse. I have cancelled my service in early September and it is now December 4th and they still have not removed my tank or sent me my credits due. They have been informed that I am implementing a $ 30 a day storage fee from this point on till I receive my money and they get their tank off of my property!!! read more

Had to call today to ask billing department about our bill. Spoke with a Melissa who was friendly, and efficient! She explained everything in detail and was very kind. It is Sunday at 7am. I have awakened to a cold house. The thermostat says 63 and it is dropping rapidly since the outside temperature is 16. I am hoping that the small portable electric heater compensates for the heat loss, but come on, one small heater to heat the whole house? I called Amerigas in Ravenna Ohio on January 23rd to request a delivery of propane and was told that it would be a week to ten days before they could come out. I figured they would have things taken care of for me quickly and fill my propane tank since they already had my money because I am a prepay customer. It is February 3rd and since the house is so cold, obviously, there is no propane. I have tried to contact them but since it is the weekend, of course, they are closed. I left them a message detailing my situation and hope they will call me tomorrow which, by the way, is day twelve and obviously out of their commitment of 7-10 days. We will see how attentive they are to a customer totally without the ability to use the furnace in the house due to their total lack of proper scheduling. Hopefully, by the time you read this I won't be paying for a plumber to come out to replace pipes that burst because a propane company doesn't service their customers properly. read more
