There must be a way to resolve the problems with this company. I also am a victim of them taking my money and not receiving fuel delivery. Phone calls are a joke! Phone answerers have no idea how to resolve problems and can't even speak intelligible English! Anyone have an answer? read more

The price of propane is outrageous. My wife and I just bought a mobile home that was already set up for AmeriGas. We pay over $400 a month for propane. This is the first time we've ever had to use it and it will be the last. We were getting low last week so we called for a fill up. We were told it would cost an additional $300 to have it delivered the next day. Even though we were astounded by that price, we agreed because we needed the propane. The following day we had an ice/snow storm and they decided they weren't going to deliver anything until Sunday, which was about 4 days away. Sunday came and nobody showed, so we called only to find out they're closed on Sunday. Monday came and we called and were told it would be out as soon as possible as we were put on an emergency list because we were out and it's very cold outside. At night it's dropping down to 10 degrees. Today they were supposed to come out, but my wife got a message from them saying because we owe them money the driver decided to not bring us propane. We set up a payment plan to get our astronomical bill paid off easier and because of that we aren't allowed to get propane until it's paid off. Then we were told the district manager made that decision. So we were told multiple times we would get a delivery, and that it was even an "emergency" and then they decided to not bring us any propane. Just let us freeze. That's awesome. I will never have propane again, and I damn sure will never go through AmeriGas for anything, ever again. read more

The most horrendous company I've ever dealt with. Months and months of being billed for propane never received. James Malott and Sherry Jones have neither one followed up and carried through with what theI've promised to straighten out our billing. They won't call us back. We had been long time customers of Amerigas but found out that their cost for tank rental and cost of gas per unit was FAR higher than competitors. Amerigas is in no way competitive in the marketplace. We contacted Amerigas to advise that we were discontinuing their service. They offered to match prices for one year then our price would go back to the higher price. We switched companies. We made arrangements for Amerigas to come get the tank. Amerigas said they would withdraw the gas still in the tank and issue us a refund. Amerigas did not show up to pick up the tank for several days AFTER the scheduled pickup day. They did, however, issue a $479.00 refund, which is still showing on our account. We discontinued our service months ago and still have not received our refund check, in spite of being told by customer service that the refund check had been issued. Amerigas took the product and our money. At this point, it's theft. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against Amerigas. read more

I will post this review everywhere I can. This company is absolutely horrible! Took over my grandmothers house when she passed, called them before the winter hit, It took them over two months to actually get my first delivery out to me. Kept saying, they "couldn't find my file" I originally ordered 150 gallons of gas, which should have topped me off from where I was at. However during this process of them twiddling their thumbs, I ran out I was out of propane for 2 weeks, upon getting this delivery and seeing it brought me to40%, I realized that it wasn't going to be enough I called to get another delivery, and they gave me a window of 24 to 48 days. This is unacceptable. So I told them to come get their tanks. He then informed me that it was a $200 pump out charge for any unused gas. A $200 pump out charge for fuel, that they are going to pump out, and resell, criminals. The amount of propane I had lasted me about a month before I ran out. Which leads me to believe I didn't receive 150 gallons. Do yourself a favor, and steer clear! read more
