I shop at the Northgate store most weeks. This past Monday, as I was checking out , I was shocked to see th the stone had fallen out of my ring. I was frantic to say the least. A sweet newly hired cashier called assistant manager Pat up to the front. She got my info and personally searched in every department I had been in. I found the diamond. It fell into my purse. They have a lot of clothes so if that's what you're looking for then it's great. Housewares and such is an absolute desert, don't bother going if you're looking for some donated treasure. read more

10/10, great staff and great rotating selection. Prices a little high, but thats okay as the highly priced items are typically newer and brands of value. Anyone disparaging the clientele is a privileged snob who doesn't understand the primary purpose of a thrift store: to help those in need acquire clothes. read more

My absolute favorite place to shop. Clothes are well organized. I can always find great deals and there are fitting rooms to try them on. Always plenty of cashiers to check out with short lines and they are friendly. Never hesitate to shop here!! read more

my experience at America's Thrift Chattanooga. If I could give this store a negative I would. I really dont know where to start. Nasty don't begin to tell how bad this store is. Also how the employees treat people But mostly how they talk about other employees. I'll go more in-depth throughout this review. The bathrooms always look like theyve seen better days. I be afraid to sit down or better yet walk in. The employees rather walk around with their thumbs up their arses than to grab a broom sweep, mop and change the trash no wonder you can walk in there with a big bag fill it up if you can stomach the bathroom and walk out without consequences. Unless you work for them from what I've heard. I see a employee there almost everyday on the floor talking to another employee about how it's funny that she can steal anytime she needs clean clothes . I dont understand how this girl is still employed at this place. I wonder these things because employees talk like a raging stream destroying and drowning anybody that gets caught in it especially if your another employee. Two of the younger ones girl and a guy not sure of names but they look like mid teens to very early 20s. Talk about a manager whom was fired. Funny thing is they will let one girl rob them blind and another employee was fired? Not realizing that I was gonna get all this information while I was checking out. I dont think for a second that this is professional at checkout. Where a manager is talking to a cashier about a previous employee on why they were let go. I'm not sure but in my experience I thought that salacious gossip about another persons employment being talked about from management to employees to the public is against the companies policy. No less their personal life, I don't go shopping to hear that. Makes me wonder if this is a cause of selective favoritism keeping one employee whom talks to others including customers about just take it they cant stop you I do it all the time. And firing another for the things from the talk i overheard literally ....... they were having were unsure. One was saying no way she's not like that to the other saying they had proof. But let's not forgot all the customers whom clearly cost this location thousands of dollars between stuffing bags, pulling tags or my all time favorite changing the tags. I watch a employee watch a girl pull tags all off the clothes and throw it on the floor. Did nothing just stood there and said wow! Dont believe me go for your self. Just watch and listen they have loose mouths there. Night time is the best time to go that's when the teens are there always a couple of them following each other those are the ones who talk about all this stuff. You will also see all the torn tags all around the store. Remember go check out the bathroom you might get lucky enough to find hungers, open packages and less favorable poopie clothes in the trash and sometimes everywhere Else. LOOK at the floor spots everywhere's throughout the store it looks like stuff got spilled and left behind. But these employees definitely got time to gossip about other employees and customers. CANT clean a bathroom, Can't Change Trash. Can't sweep and or Mop. Last but not least let's not forget about the panhandlers see a lot of homeless people go to the store and hang out. They asked for cigarettes they asked for money for food because clothing they've already stolen. Like I said in the beginning just didn't know where to start by apologies for such a long review. So if you're looking to shop I really would provide you don't go here yes granite they probably got some good things but they're also getting very pricey for stuff that's been donated. read more

I've been going here for a couple years and always loved going HOWEVER the store is beginning to start overpricing the items I do understand they have a staff and need to make a profit but they also need to remember it's not a department store!! read more

I really enjoy shopping here. I probably visit once a week - I'm a thrift store junkie. I have noticed recently that their prices have gone up quite a bit, but they do 30% and 50% off certain colors each week, so that helps. I'd recommend this store to anyone. read more

Love this place! They have so much stuff. The prices can be a bit overpriced, but there's a ton of selection to go through. The staff is pleasant and the store isn't dirty. They don't have the greatest selection of furniture/home goods but tons of clothes, shoes, and books. read more
