My husband and I bought a lot of furniture from Ashley Furniture when we moved to New Bern. It took 14 months for the furniture to arrive. We vowed we would never use them again. Well, time passed. We have the new Ashley store, so we decided to give it a try for some lamps. Our credit card statement shows up with a charge for "New Bern Performance" right next to a charge for New Bern Civic Theater. Our credit card has been hacked 3 times in 6 months so we immediately disputed the charge only to discover that "New Bern Performance" is actually Ashley Furniture. Go figure!!!! My husband talked with the owner Mike, who indicated that there is"nothing he can do about it" . When we recommended that his employees simply inform the customer that the charge will not say "Ashley" he said his people are not privey to that information.
