I had looked up on AI what would be a fair price for selling my 14k gold and they were close to it.

She dangled my bracelet at me, and dropped it in my hand while shuffling me out the door, apparently I was not as important as their preferred clientele who spend big bucks on glittering diamond necklaces & rings as prominently displayed in their store. I didn't let it go at that, and argued the point that I had done business with them before, and felt her disposition was (hard business) rather than a friendly store for repeat customers. As it turned out, when I went across town to another store that was very similar, a store with glittering tennis diamond necklaces on black velvet displays, in there also were an aging couple minding the store that they own, with a helpful clerk and a bench jeweler. To my relief, my request was granted without hassle, for a price of $70.00. It was so worth it, because later that evening when I searched on line for a similar tennis gemstone bracelet set in gold, the price now is around $1,200. about 6 X what I paid for in 2009. As far as I'm concerned, my request was important, and rather an intelligent one.

This guy will try and screw you out of what your jewelry is worth, and talks to you like you are an idiot. I took in three pieces of jewelry and left with all three. I had a 14 kt gold P. Buhre vintage ladies watch with a domed lid containing 11 diamonds in the lid. He did not even want to give me what it was worth in gold weight, which is 52 grams, but he sure wanted the watch. I also took in a 1.15 Carat candlelight champagne, princess cut diamond ring in a wide 14kt gold setting. It was appraised in 1998 for $2,500 and he tried to buy it for $400.00 today. I didn't tell him that I had that appraisal, as I wanted to see just how honest he was, and I sure found out. He also tried telling me that it was full of imperfections, which my appraisal also clearly states is not the case. The man is a con. STAY AWAY!!!!!

My class ring even came from Warren Hannon. My sister and I recently took antique pieces that we inherited into the store. Mine required extensive repair, especially if I expected to wear the ring daily. Richard Hannon explained thoroughly what needed to be done. Even though my piece is small and they don't stand to make much money from the work they will do for me I know it will be perfect when it comes back because of the attention to detail they give each piece. Warren Hannon has a gorgeous selection of diamonds and gem stones. His cases are well-stocked with beautiful sparklers, I can't imagine not being able to find the perfect piece. Whether it's a custom design you're after or buying a stock item, Richard has it all including the ability to create something beautiful. One more thing - I don't think the staff has changed much in the last 20 or so years (since I've been paying attention). How many retail establishments can say that? Will I go back? Absolutely. I wish I had more occasions to treat myself beautiful jewelry.
