Until a few weeks ago, when it didn't show up. I was frantic. Did they discontinue it? Can I still purchase it? Are my perfect engagement ring dreams dashed forever? Enter Courtney. I called this Zales location to find out where my ring was. She answered the phone and i gave her the stock number. It didn't pop up for her either. Calmly, Courtney explained that the website might be down, but we could find it. I described it to her and after a few false alarms, she told me she had located it. In Independence. A bit farther than my current drive, but certainly doable. We hung up, with me a trifle calmer. A few minutes later, Courtney called back. Unbeknownst to me, she had asked the Independence store to ship it to their location for my convenience. She had applied a discount, so that the online price would be more in line with the store price. She had reserved it for me so it would be available when we were ready for it. (I'd like to give a shout-out to the IRS here. Just when I think you're just taking all of my money, you enable me to get a pretty diamond ring. Thanks!) She had done all of this without my asking and without breaking a sweat. She made impeccable customer service look easy. After a not incredibly pleasant experience at another Zales location (see the review for Zales at 7116 NW 86th), Courtney was a breath of fresh air. I would buy jewellery from her every day if I could afford it. (The IRS isn't giving me THAT much back!) I look forward to giving her my business. She was personable, knowledgeable and most importantly, proactive. Thanks so much, Courtney!

Its was not mentioned to me nor did I ask. And expect "price gouging" to be in effect. Upon my request to return my necklace, I was told first thing, you agreed to pay the amount. And yes I did. But they were not interested in why I wanted to return it, (I guess because it didn't matter). It was at least $500 more than The highest priced exact same thing, I could find on the Internet from other retailers. She told me if I paid cash, i could save tax. And as I was leaving to get the cash, she added $50 to the total she told be for the necklace -But after i returned and asked her why, she removed the $50. (she didnt bother to explain why when I asked ). Apparently they do not understand the value of a satisfied "returning"customer or dont care. I guess the word "traders" in there Business name should have tipped me off. Wow! Enrique, Dee Dee, and Olga takes customer service to another level! I'm currently in the…read moreprocess of having a ring made, and will update this review once the ring is completed. So far, this experience has been spectacular. I've searched at other stores and online and their pricing is competitive. The quality of their pieces are the best, with the best warranty. I walked into the store with my defense up because Ive heard so many other stores tell us why they're the best. It's actually different here. If you're looking for jewelry, I genuinely 100% recommend Diamonds Direct. My story is below: My fiancé and I have been looking to upgrade my ring, as the original was very inexpensive and sized incorrectly. We've been shopping around for a few months and never considered customizing a ring. We found one ring at jewelry store nearby that we loved in May. Since then, we've continued to look around in KC, Charlotte (NC), and Charleston (SC) since my fiancé is based on the East coast. Last month, I walked into Diamonds Direct to check out their sale. Enrique and Dee Dee helped me. I didn't find anything I loved. I told Dee Dee about the other ring I found and told her I had planned on customizing that ring. The following day, Enrique asked me for a picture of the ring I loved. I didn't think anything of it and sent him one. A few days later, Enrique asked me to come in to talk about possibly designing a ring. Honestly, I rolled my eyes thinking, "Here we go with the over priced sales pitch". I strongly considered not going, as it's a 45 minute drive for me. Before I met with Enrique for our appointment, I went to the original store to see if they could give us an estimate on adding some small diamonds on the side of the ring I loved. The associate told us that they couldn't give us an estimate on a custom piece without a $250 fee (which goes towards the ring) for a CAD. I didn't feel comfortable paying $250 for a drawing without knowing if it would end up being above our budget. I asked for a very rough estimate for an idea, but was told they couldn't answer. I left feeling disappointed but figured we would have to pay the fee and I almost walked back into the store that day to pay. I ended up leaving to think about it a little longer. I drove 10 minutes down the street to Diamonds Direct to keep my word of coming in and hoped it would be a quick meeting. Dee Dee and Enrique presented me with the CAD and a rendering of exactly what I wanted when I got there!! I never even asked for them to do it. They gave me an estimate that was just below our budget and even encouraged me to look around at other stores to make sure I was getting the best prices. I was almost speechless and definitely blown away. I've searched for better prices but haven't found anything better. There have been other little pleasant surprises along the way in this process. The ring should be completed in 2-3 weeks and I can't wait!
