I have enjoyed shopping at Americana. Been with them since they were in the garage of their house. They've since moved on to much bigger and better accommodations. They are always friendly and up until recently I thought they had reasonable pricing. It seems they've raised pricing or at least on some things they have. Their selection now is far superior to anything in the area. They just added several new handgun cases and probably tripled their inventory. I'd recommend anyone to stop in and browse their selection. If you are a vet or LE they participate in the Blue Label program and offer steep did outs on Glock and Sig. Give them a try. read more

Since first time I gave the place a few more tries. Must of been bad timing the first time. But there has been a much better selection each time I visited. Best gun shop in the state. I make it a habit to include a stop there whenever I drive down to Corpus Christi from Austin. (about twice a month) Prices are excellent, esp on ammo. It's also about the only place I can find a decent selection of reloading powder and gun accessories such as magazines for more obscure guns. Every employess in the store is fantastic. This place was amazing and had so much inventory. They did specialize in certain brands. Many guns were out where you could handle them right off tables and ones under glass we're easy to get to as they had tons of employees eager to let you handle them. They are the friendliest, and most helpful gun store owners/employees, I've ever encountered. They have a very diverse 400-600+ gun inventory on hand at any given time, and are very willing to assist you with ordering anything they don't have in stock. They even do lay away! I was down in Corpus Christi, Tx in Mar of 2023 visiting a friend, he was looking for a new handgun for his wife. I told him about this new Ruger Security 380 which was suppose to be super easy to rack the slide. So, we did a little online looking, and found this place Americana Arms just a tad south of the main town of Beeville, Tx. When we walked in to the showroom, boyyy let me tell you what, I thought I was in Heaven. They have a selection that will make your mouth water. Its a really good size showroom, I believe its a converted dance hall from back in the day. We ended up talking to two different sales reps, before my friend bought that Ruger Security 380. Both these gentlemen were very knowledgable and super friendly. We were probably in there about 1 1/2 hours total, 15 minutes to purchase the gun, and 1 1/4 hrs talking shop with these guys. On top of everything else, their prices are fantastic. Maybe one reason is where they are located in the countryside, cause it was over an hour drive from Corpus Christi to get there. I took their CHL course today. Jeff was very knowledgable, polite, accommodating, patient, and helpful. Despite being under a flash flood warning and having record rainfall, Jeff gave the class of 3 the choice of shooting today or tomorrow after our classroom instruction- while encouraging safety, he didn't coerce us either way- we opted to go to the range and wait out the storm, we waiting about 1-1.5 hours for the rain to slow to an acceptable level and we shot our qualifications. While I think I likely agree with Jeff's personal beliefs, I will say that Jeff didn't throw in his own beliefs or opinions, other than you must index your trigger finger between each set of instructed shot(s). I would recommend Jeff's/Americana Arms instruction to anyone. read more
