Don't go here. Go to Brunswick Beauty or Anh's Nagelstudio. I've been considering not writing this review but I feel that I should just in case another person happens upon this place. I don't want such an awful experience to happen to anyone else. The experience was bizarre, and I'm still trying to understand it. I came here for a regular manicure. The owners (a man and woman) are Vietnamese like in many salons around the world. Seemed normal to me. I made an appointment and showed up promptly a few minutes early. When she was ready, I pulled out my OPI nail polish. She immediately refused to use it, rudely yelling at me, and said I must use some of her low quality polish. She said that if the OPI nail polish chipped or something, I could complain and get her in trouble. Strange but I said ok to use her low quality polish. Then I put my hands on the table to start the manicure. She started yelling at me again that my nails were so short and too damaged for a manicure. I looked at her confused as this was exactly the point of doing a manicure: so I could fix my nails and make them look nicer. I kindly asked her to continue. She kept yelling but then started to remove the nail polish from my nails. Then she filed them a little but very badly. After she picked up her red nail polish bottle to start painting on the polish. I was so confused. I asked her, what about the cuticles? What about the cleaning? What about the clear base coat even? Now she started to yell at me louder. She got out the cuticle cutter and cut a huge piece of skin from one of my fingers. It was shocking. It was very upsetting. I told her never mind. I got up, and I left. I'm still so confused by this whole experience. After weekly manicures for over 10 years, I've never seen something like this before. I'm so confused about why they are running a nail salon with such an attitude. I'm also so confused that they have the word "American" in their salon name. How can she be so rude and awful to an American? If she has something against Americans, I think it's very much time for a name change. read more
