ALL of our items were listed as being accepted online, including six bags of worn-once/new-with-tags clothing from Express. Some guy showed up and picked through a couple of the boxes of household items and then got back in his truck and left without taking one thing. There was no help when we called the organization. We wasted time and energy getting that stuff put out in our driveway just the way they wanted it. We could have donated to a reputable organization. Beware, the Epilepsy Foundation only wants to SHOP through your stuff for some new items. They are NOT actually willing to take all donations. It's a major waste of time and effort to schedule with them.

The first time I visited the American Red Cross Minneapolis I knew that this would be the place from now on. Fully staffed with lots of chairs available to donate blood or platelets. It's wise to make an appointment, and for platelets maybe be kind of necessary, but you don't have to make anappointment a month out. The staff is super friendly, and very good at what they do. giving platelets, which is such an enormous donation and benefits so many people with horrible diseases like leukemia.. giving blood takes less than an hour, and giving platelets takes about 2.5 hours, while doing so you get to enjoy movies on Netflix, which makes the time go by pretty fast, and not to mention a nice snack bar when you're done. Also, it feels good to know that you're helping others in need.

After multiple blood donations, and several platelet donations, given here, I can share that this is a good place to donate. Like many Red Cross donation centers, the staff and volunteers change regularly, but the donor experience has always been good, friendly, safe, and helpful. They always say "thank you for donating." The staff here are also nice if you can't donate. I've had low numbers on Iron and could not give blood. Despite my disappointment in my low iron that day, the staff was very nice, positive and they let me have a cookie any way.

From the phone call to set up the appointment, to picking up the contrast for the test, to the exam itself, the service, professionalism and respect that was shown from all the people with whom I interacted was first-rate. When you're getting an unfamiliar exam, it's nice to have people put you at ease. The facility is easy-to-get-to, super clean (VERY important to me!), and there was a nice private room where you can change and lock up all your personal belongings. The exam itself was easy, and not like what I thought. It wasn't a complete chamber, but it wasn't as loud as what I thought CT scanners would be. Again, this piece of equipment was more like a donut. Mmmm. Donuts. I wish I could remember the name of the person who helped me with the exam. She was so professional, friendly, and kind. It made the entire process, including the IV, more pleasant for me. I truly appreciate it. And to top it all off, three days later, I received a thank you card in the mail that was signed by two people from Suburban Imaging. You don't see that every day from healthcare facilities!

I have been going to the Minneapolis VA for a very long time and I have noticed a huge change over the years in the facility as well as services provided. This year I have noticed the largest change in the staff. The staff has been amazing and the services provided have been second to none. I do not have a bad thing to say or a single complaint. The facility is very clean and the services have been very quick. A majority of the staff will greet you with a smile and seem eager to help you. The doctors have all been amazing and the pharmacy has been very organized and quick. The online support and the meeting with the doctors via the VAs app are great but my one complaint is that the app is very simple and does not give many options to adjust your camera. This however does not take away from the top knotch service the doctors provide. I want to let the staff you that they are all appreciated and to keep up the good work.

I came here to share my donation experience and how easy it was to coordinate with the staff at JC,…read morethey also helped me unload about 15-20 bags that I had gathered from a drive I was doing for the holidays. Being Born and raised in St Paul I am shocked I had no idea this non profit existed and was pleased to stumble upon it online while looking for places to donate. I love the concept of being able to have a dignified shopping experience for those in need hence why I chose JC to donate to. But I am disheartened by the reviews I am reading from folks in the community as I am biracial myself and have a biracial family. I truly hope that a Christian based non profit is not discriminating against people of color or mistreating those that are in need. I encourage you to listen to those expressing their experiences and concerns and for JC to do better moving forward.

Such a great organization! They take donations (housewares, furniture, small…read moreelectronics/appliances, decor, etc.) and provide them to people to who are transitioning out of homelessness. We worked a special shift via Surly Gives a Damn, sorting hangers. But they do take groups of 5 or more to do projects such as putting furniture together, sorting utensils and linen and more. There's always work to be done. Shifts are 2-3 hrs long. The work was very chill. You got to pick what you wanted to do as well as they were very accommodating for example if you needed to sit while working or needed to take breaks. Diana was running things and she was such a great host! Made us feel welcomed & made sure to tell us about all the opportunities they have to volunteer and give back. She also offered tours of the warehouse after the shift was over. She said she's always looking for new volunteers, so if you are looking for opportunities, please check them out!!! They have 3 locations- Bloomington, Roseville & Plymouth-opening very soon.
