My wife, my nephew and me rolled in needing our tires checked and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful! They offered to inspect our tires, filled them up to the correct pressure, and had us on our way in less than 15 minutes! The front desk team shared their doughnuts and provided us great recommendations for lunch too. Thank you! The entire shop was spic-n-span clean, well organized, and easy to navigate. While we didn't need clothing or gear, they did have an extensive collection. We didn't need repair work either so I can't comment on that aspect of their business. However, their willingness to help passing-through-travelers was greatly appreciated and would make them a first choice. Fine print: this review was written on 1/4/18 but we were there in late Sept. '17 (yeah, I know, way late!). Thank you! Patrick Shaughnessy Chicago, IL read more

American Powersports - This is the price sheet to document I was really here! These prices were effective when we visited circa late Sept. '17. - Motorcycle Dealers Near Me - Findlay, Ohio

Disappointed with the after-sale service at American Power Sports in Findlay, Ohio. I purchased a used John Deere Gator 835R Signature Edition, and shortly after bringing it home, I found that the radio works for about 30 seconds before freezing. A John Deere dealer told me it needs to be replaced at an estimated cost of $1,000. American Power Sports declined to cover the repair, saying it worked when they had it. I signed financing paperwork with the bank, but I did not sign any sale documents with the dealership, and they never told me this was an "as-is" purchase. I did not sign any document accepting this issue or agreeing to waive responsibility for it. Since then, they have not answered or returned my phone calls. I understand used equipment can have issues, but refusing to help and then not returning calls has made this a frustrating experience. I've tried to resolve this directly and would still appreciate management contacting me. I'll update this review if the issue is resolved. read more

Made a call to Sandusky location to confirm a jet ski from the website was there for $6999, which it was. Drove an hour to get there to look at it and salesman told me it was $7999 and the $6999 was a mistake and that it had changed on website in past hour. I requested the formerly advertised $6999. I later received a text message offering $7450, which I declined. Poor business practice to fail to honor your own advertised price. read more

Spent over $7000 and 4 wheeler doesn't run and now leaks oil. It's worse off then we took the machine to them. Had it back and forth numerous times and currently out the money along with a 4 wheeler that doesn't run. So far no one offering to make the situation right just making excuses as if we're at fault. read more

Ok....had some problems with bike and needed some service. Took in for oil leak and told them where it was leaking ( pump ). They advised me I was wrong....they said leaking somewhere else ( valve cover ). Pick it up and has to take it back the next day....still had oil leak...so they replace water pump gasket...leak stopped....told them the first time it was the pump seal. Have more stories...but...that one tells it best. Still better than Toledo dealer. Service people are polite... but could do a much better job keeping the customer informed. read more

Called to inquiry about a bike, sent me to a sales rep who said he'd check and be right back. I got sent back to the secretary who took my name and number and would return my call. Never heard back. Sent an email to schedule a rest ride and never got a response. Called again for a test ride, took my name and number but never received a call back. Apparently my business wasn't good enough for them. read more

Just purchased a 2017 CanAm Spyder from the Findlay site. The experience was exceptional all the way around. Our main contact Shannon was amazing. He kept in contact with us and worked with us to make this purchase possible. All of the people were friendly and went out of their way to ensure that the process was smooth and painless. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH! I was shopping for a new Can Am Cycle. I received a quote for a bike on the showroom floor. Worked all the numbers with Salesman Phil McLaren, Went home with the agreement I would return the next day with my trade-in bike that I had been honest about every cosmetic issue. When I came back the next day Phil wasn't there and I dealt with Matt who told me I had been misquoted the price by Three thousand dollars too little. I was also told my trade-in was worth fifteen hundred dollars less that I had been told the night before. Matt was very cold and unwilling to work any numbers or let me speak with his manager. I was simply told the manager wasn't available. I left very disappointed. I later received a phone call from Matt giving me the same deal he had offered earlier but approved by his manager. No deal at all. read more

I have a CanAm 4-wheeler purchased at American Powersports. I have had bad service and repair in past years at American Powersports. I was wanting to ride the last open weekend of Wayne National Forest, 12/15/2018. I checked other dealers but found the only place that had the outer tie rods that I needed were at American Powersports. I called with the part number on 12/7/18 and was told they could ship them out in time so I would have them before going riding. I received 2 tie rod ends, but only one was the correct part. They should be the same part number for both. I tried calling American Powersports but was told that parts was too busy to answer and to leave my number so they could call me back. I had to find other tie rods on short notice and I STILL have not received a call from them. After purchasing original 4-wheeler from them, having it serviced by them in the past, and now trying to give them another chance, STILL BAD SERVICE and wrong parts. read more

I have purchased 2 ATV's from here because this is the closest dealer to me. The first one had some service issues and they were way overcharging but that was the only place I could take it so it wouldn't void my warranty. The most recent service, they replaced something that I never asked to be replaced and they never bothered to call to see if I even wanted them to replace that item. I told them to take it out and I was already aware before my service that it was broke and I was going to purchase it and replace on my own at a later time. On the sales side of things, they will not work with you on bringing down the price of the ATV you are interested in. They pretty much said they were only making $80 from me and had to atleast make something from the deal. I'm sure businesses are out to make more than just $80 off of one sale so I didn't buy the pitch one bit but really wanted the ATV and didn't really have another place to go to purchase this type. read more
