First rate selection, First rate customer service, but to go along with that the prices are also…read morequite high. That's how I'd sum up the Big Greenhouse in one sentence. This place in many places can feel like an adventure into another world. Part greenhouse, part antique shop, part cat habitat (which I appreciate). Inside, you'll see some very attractive decor, and even room setups incorporating interesting plants that will set your design desire alight. Outside, the journey through the plant selection and greenhouse itself can often feel like wandering through a jungle. I definitely spotted some plants I have never seen before. That said, each time I was intrigued to learn and potentially but a plant, sticker shock made me put it right back down. Even for plants I know well and are pretty common and I could tell by their operation are easily propagated, I was dissuaded by the price from taking it home. So in general, prepare to be inspired, but also be prepared that you may not be able to buy everything you want here. Otherwise, this place is a very cool journey.

Mike was awesome and explained everything to me. I decided to replace all of the heads for heads with new technology. The work was completed ahead of schedule and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. Thanks Mike and crew for a job well-done. J. Budinski' Burlington, NC

This company is apparently the new landscaper for the McDonald's in Whitsett, NC, and my experience…read morewith them was completely unacceptable. While I was standing outside my car talking to a friend, one of their workers came from behind the car next to mine and blew grass clippings directly into our faces, into my open car, and all over my dashboard, floor, door panels, clothes, shoes, and hair. We were yelling and waving our hands to get his attention, but he didn't stop right away. When he finally saw us, he just turned around and walked off -- no apology, no acknowledgment. I called the McDonald's right away and was given the landscaping company's contact info. I spoke to a woman who said she'd pass the message to a supervisor, but no one ever followed up. Totally unprofessional behavior and even worse customer service. If you care about courtesy and respect, I wouldn't recommend this company for any kind of work.

Your stores are always full of…read morebeautiful high-quality products, a wide selection of unique items and staff is mostly pleasant. However, I was reminded why I don't shop there more this past weekend. It absolutely dumbfounds me as to WHY you feel the need to charge people a 4% surcharge for using your debit or credit card??!! And when I mentioned it to one of your employees they seemed completely dumbfounded. I was raised on a small family farm and have run several different businesses. I understand how accepting credit cards eats away at your bottom dollar. But, unfortunately, that is the price we pay for owning a small business and the ever changing modern times. Especially now, MOST people do not carry cash! They certainly DO NOT carry hundreds of dollars in their pockets for the unexpected or planned out trip to your business! You do other things as a small business to help absorb the credit card fees, instead of penalizing your customers. Your prices are certainly plenty high enough to absorb some of these fees. And if your credit card companies are charging you too much, perhaps it's time to switch to a more affordable solution. So to charge us for buying annual flowers, vegetable plants, perennials and shrubs locally from a smaller family-owned business rather than some place such as Lowe's or Home Depot. Then penalizing us by up charging with a 4% surcharge seems a bit harsh. In fact, wrong. Instead of shopping with your stores, I'll be supporting your competitors including Living Landscapes, Inc., Rock Creek Supply, and more. And steering clear of your business for this reason alone. The businesses I mentioned are more than happy to take my debit card or credit card and not charge me for it. Since, I spend hundreds, if not thousands every year on flowers, vegetable plants, mulch, and landscaping supplies.
