Jim is an incredible guy. Called on a Saturday at 6pm and he answered the first time and met me right away. I've been told I've got a difficult lock to pick but he handled it like the experienced pro he is. Gave me a deal for being military as well. He's one of those pros you hope you don't have to use but definitely a reliable one. 100% recommend! read more

American Lock & Key - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Valdosta, Georgia

I would never use American Lock and Key again. My experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional from start to finish. I was originally quoted $322, but the final bill came to $399. I was told the additional cost was due to my house being older, but that should have been identified before the work began. A professional should thoroughly assess the job before starting, not discover issues midway through and pass those costs on to the customer. I should not have been charged extra because proper planning and surveying of the job were not done beforehand. The payment process was also frustrating. The technician appeared unsure about how to use the Square payment system. After I paid, he loudly stated, "That's your receipt, ma'am." As a small business owner who also uses Square, I explained that what I received was simply a bank alert showing my card had been charged and that an actual receipt could be sent through the Square app. He seemed irritated that I understood the system and became visibly agitated during the conversation. To make matters worse, after he left, the deadbolt would not turn properly. I had to call him back before he had even made it down the street, and he returned to fix it. That issue should have been caught before the job was considered complete. The work area was also left messy. There were screws on the ground that could have ended up in my tires, and the old lock sets and debris were left scattered around for me to clean up. I don't mind paying $400 for quality work and professional service. However, this job felt rushed, poorly planned, and incomplete. Between the unexpected charges, the payment confusion, the lock malfunction, and the cleanup I had to do myself, I feel like I paid far too much for the level of service I received. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend American Lock and Key. My experience left me feeling rushed, frustrated, and ripped off. read more

James came out immediately and unlocked my truck. He was really nice and a really busy guy taking calls for the next person in need. He was really fast so if you're in a bind and he's able to, he will get right out to you and have you ready to go as quick as anyone I've seen. read more

It's cheaper to break your window out and replace it. $359 for a key stuck in my door and a replacement key. The key is still in the door. I'm just really devistated. This is not my first time using a locksmith. I do not recommend this service unless you are in dire need or have plenty of money to waste. In the end I paid $359 for a replacement key. read more

Poor service. No mask and got smarty-pants with me on the telephone. Cut the key, claim that they code the key, that I bought from them. Still would not start. Claimed that it needed a pin code to program the key. Okay, you have the tools for that. Poor service. I will not recommend no one to them. If they had Ratings a scale as 0 That's what they will get from me smdy charge me 178.00. for what read more

Claimed lock was fixed when left job, when door was attempted to be locked up for the night the mechanism was loose and would not engage, and when called to inform of situation was immediately told I was lying and then in a huff told me he would be out there soon. When he arrived he told me that I needed a key, which I informed him I did not have a key, and was informed that the only way to lock the door was with a key. (That means the door was not fixed ...) he then over charged because he was called out after being woken up for a job that was not sufficiently completed to a standard that any company would have (do it right the first time.) Would not recommend this company for any kind of industrial or heavy mechanical locks. Would also not recommend due to level of hubris held by the employees. read more

I locked my keys in my car a few nights ago and a sweet man came and helped me. He was very nice and came to help very quickly. It wasn't very expensive. It is cheaper during the daytime, especially for students in case any of you are in a similar situation. 10/10 recommend!! read more

Awesome customer service, highly recommend if you ever find yourself locked out of your house on a Saturday morning.

This company is amazing! I locked my keys in my car at the bowling alley with 3 children with me. I called the police, but they were no help and would only come if a kid was in the car, but the dispatcher gave me 3 towing companies to call and after calling all 3 just to hear they dont unlock vehicles, I decided to turn to google for help and found this company. He came right out, even though it was late at night and had me in my vehicle in no time. They are also very affordable! read more
