I had a great time there with friends on Veterans Day. BBQ was very good and there was a great turnout.

I would never go there for anything. If you don't smoke and drink, there is basically nothing to do. If you go in there, you come out smelling like an ashtray. How is this even allowed! Tried to transfer to this post gave them cash to cover membership. I have been with the Legion 16 year. No membership card. Try to get answers for two months. No response. They finally gave me back my mone. Good riddance to this post 19. U had one job to do. Not to blame the staff but there AG is no bueno don't hide behind oh there a volunteer. I retired from the Marine Corps after 27 years of service and my spouse wanted to have a plaque made that would be displayed at the Yuma Armed Forces Park. We ordered the plaque in February 2023. We were told it would be completed in 2 weeks. After a few weeks we we're told that it was still not completed and that it shouldn't be too much longer. A few more weeks passed and we called back and the plaque was still not completed. The woman helping us through the process began to yell at my spouse over the phone, she told my wife that people keep calling about their plaques and we could see she was upset. We told her not to take her anger out on us just because we were following up on a service that this post said they would take care of. She then said "you and the other people keep calling". We don't understand what the issue is with us following up on our goods (months after the initial order) She also told my spouse that she didn't care where we put the plaque. We asked to speak to the post commander or whoever is in charge and she said she would not give us the number. She only provided a name. We asked when the plaque was dropped off and she lied to us and said it was dropped off in February 2023. We spoke to the City Of Yuma and found out that the plaque order was recently dropped off July 2023. The woman who answers the phone as the post manager is extremely unprofessional, rude, and is not providing a service that is expected for military veterans and their spouses. The person needs to be replaced as this conduct is not acceptable. There are many professional veterans in the community that could fulfill these duties in a more professional matter. Recently we came here on a Thursday for Burger Night; cheap decent for under $9 a plate. It's a place to eat as well as mingle, ie dancing with live entertainment, homemade baked goods for sale, raffles and of course the bar with cheap drinks. It's pretty lively during the Winter Visitor time of year. I volunteered years ago in the kitchen helping serve a cook/clean up years ago. The Legion's also involved with the local community...it's worth looking into. read more

We are planning on attending during the Month of March while we stay in Yuma. We are from Syracuse NY and belong to Cicero Post 787, the largest membership Post in New York State with a membership, to date, of 1,700 and growing! We arrive in Yuma on March 1 and will make sure that we are there on that evening! My wife and I always stop at a Post while traveling, and have always felt welcome and have a great time being with friends and brother military! See you in March! read more

Hey Veterans and service members!! If you want to go to a club where the focus is on veterans and service members, this is the best place to go! One of the best service clubs I've been in! My husband and I try to support all the service clubs when we travel, and have felt not so welcome at some because of local clicks. This club has Lots of activities/events going on all the time. They go out of there way to make sure you feel welcome! They do an incredible job supporting the military family! Finally!! A service club that serves veterans!! read more

Live in Bakersfield Ca. and am member of Legion Post # 682. Visit Yuma on occasion and have been a guest of Post #19 several times. Very nice post and cordial people. Will be there next month. In the Winter you'd think it was a Canadian Legion post there are so many Snowbirds there. Don't seem to have any problems with our cheap American Beer. Semper Fi read more
