When we arrived, we were greeted and then ordered a drink before the class started. There was just one employee there who was the cashier, bartender, and our painting instructor. Henke is serving some delicious wines and yummy food pairings. My husband's go-to is Pinot Noir and I always order a sweet wine. I had the Cellar Blush. This is considered a Sweet Blush Wine. We had the Stuffed Mushrooms with Sausage, Cheese & Charcuterie Plate, and their famous Air-Fried Cheese. This was the perfect afternoon lunch/snack. Even after growing up in central Ohio, where pins started, I had never been to one before. This one in Cincinnati looks small on the outside, but has three floors and a basement once you get inside. The bowling is on the first and second floors, and there are many arcade games on the third floor and basement. My group all ordered drinks from the bar. I had a cocktail and found it very well made. It is not often you find a place like this with good entertainment and good service. We bowled two games but the second got cut short due to an event that closed the 2nd and 3rd floors. To compensate us, the team gave us all a coupon for a free game, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, I am happy I finally got to try duck pin bowling and would love to come back (to practice of course). What I really like about The Art of Food is the kind of people it attracts. Normally, Cincinnati food events draw in obese Wal-Martians in motorized scooters. The Art of Food crowd was both young professionals, 40-somethings, and older folks. Everyone was dressed nicely and into the art scene. The guests intermingled. It was a really fun, classy environment. My only complaint: even after skipping lunch, I got full too quickly. But that didn't stop me from getting seconds...and thirds...and fourths!
