I was looking for a new dermatology clinic after a slew of negative experiences with a popular…read moredermatology group in the area (scheduling errors, last minute cancellations, arriving for a procedure to be told I had been booked with a doctor who didn't do that)... this was my first appointment with Forefront in Crystal Lake, and I am incredibly impressed and pleased with the care and consideration of the team. The PA and my nurse today were warm and welcoming throughout the appointment, explaining things step by step beforehand and as they went through the procedures. They were responsive and compassionate when I got unexpectedly lightheaded following a procedure (which is not uncommon for me), and their quick actions prevented me from loss of consciousness like I've experienced in other doctors' offices. My appointment is already scheduled for next year! You won't go wrong with this clinic or their team!

When they finally got to an issue (they'd find an issue with ANYONE with their line of questioning) I elaborated on it because it makes no sense for me to lie about my health to the Doctor. 3 weeks later I receive a $200 bill for my "Free yearly check up" and was told by their staff that it was MY duty to tell the Doctor I was only there for a yearly check up - EVEN THOUGH I booked my appointment as such. It is not my fault they cannot communicate what the clients are there for internally. Further, they did NOT bill my visit as my Free yearly visit - they billed my visit as a Diagnostic visit which is why I received a bill. The insurance company told me all I had to do was call the Doctor and have them change it. The Doctor's office played the "It's the insurance company's policy" card which is just not true. I'd rather throw another $200 down the drain rather than go back to this office (though the Doctor was very kind). If I knew I was going to be taken for a ride I would've never gone here. I would've had no problem paying $200 for a visit - but the manner in which it was done felt dirty, conniving and extremely non-transparent. This is the worst customer service I've EVER had at a Doctor's office.

For starters the stylist doing her hair was very rough when it came to moving her head. She forcefully moved it but in a very rough disrespectful way. To add on to that, when i tell you they DRENCHED her head with water. At that point they should've just washed it. And finally the MAIN reason i took time to make this review, the haircut. At first when she left the salon, it wasn't looking bad PROBABLY due to all the damn water in her hair. But when she got home and put her hair in a ponytail, is when she noticed that the woman who had done her hair left it INCREDIBLY choppy and uneven. Seriously i mean it looks as if it was done in the dark. One side is longer then the other. Horrible haircut over-all and the fact they cut off so much. Her friends hair was probably like to her lower back. They cut off 5-inches of it and for what? For it to look like THAT? Absolutely HORRIBLE. WOULD NOT recommend this place WHATSOEVER it could just be the Lady but i honestly wouldn't risk going to begin with. I mean come on how is the middle shorter then the sides. Absolutely ridiculous. And that being that this place had SO MANY good reviews. Yeah never again. Honestly just cut it at home at that point. I know this is a VERY long review, but for them to let her walk out like that with a smile on their face says something about them. I hope before coming here you see this review because, i don't think anybody should have to walk out of a salon like that. I undressed to my comfort level; my mask off, top off (pulled bra down to my waistline) and slipped under the sheets. Laura was able to access my face, head, shoulders and neck. The exam was fine, but when I asked for the script, I was super pressured into buying from them. When I went to fill her prescription they gave the company the run around about verifying the prescription. Then, when I called, I couldn't because it's a HIPPA violation; seriously, it's as simple as me filling out a release form, but of course, they would not get that fax ever. The online company tried for DAYS!!!!! Then, when I went somewhere in person I found out what the issue was. The prescription omitted the extra strength needed for my daughter's one eye. I called them, and surprised, surprise, they told me the doctor wouldn't be in until Saturday; keep in mind this was Thursday. So you are open on Fridays but have no doctor all day?!?!?! sure, that makes sense... The office lady was beyond rude, telling me that there was nothing wrong with the script; a simple check of contact strengths tells you that, yes, what they wrote for one eye wasn't going to work. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!
