WiFi password? They should definitely give that out when checking in and I have no paperwork that would show it

This hotel is a sweet throwback to the 50s-60s era. Well done restoration Marriott. I hate I'm only…read morehere a week as the area has so much to offer. From the rooftop bar to the beautiful rooms-this place has it all

I love a hotel that's housed in an old office building--there's something that feels both efficient…read moreand luxurious about it. I like to imagine the industry that played out in the space where I'm resting, the thought of someone taking a break from wheeling and dealing to look out of this same window in the 1940s and what else was going on around them. I'd never been to Meridian before, just passed through on the same road trip home after the holidays. It's about 4 and a half hours from NOLA and the perfect place to stay before the final leg of the trip home so that we'd be home at a reasonable hour. Meridian feels a bit frozen in time and this hotel is situated in a quaint downtown area. It's not very lively, even on a Saturday night but I believe the rooftop bar here might be where the action is (I passed it by when getting water in the gym that's on the same floor). I like a Tribute property, which always promises a less corporate/more boutique stay. It has its charm (original mail chute, be still my heart!) and quirks (tiny rooms, old timey elevators that take their time). The main lobby is mainly the restaurant (closed when I arrived around 9pm on a Saturday) with reception in what seems like bank teller windows. I appreciate the convenience of a Starbucks right next door (entrance from the lobby) and if we weren't looking to rest after a endless car ride, there's a few places to get food/drinks within walking distance. Rooms are cozy, beds are excellent and the bathroom is small/nothing special. Would this be an ideal stay for a vacation? Probably not, though I don't expect a vacation in Meridian anytime soon, if ever. I'd stay again, as a more interesting road trip stay than your typical Marriott Courtyards/Fairfield/Residence Inns. When we stayed it was only a little over 100 dollars/night, which is pretty sweet.

As always you can expect a great experience from this hotel chain…read more.. From the front desk to quality of the room and right down to the reasonable price and morning complimentary breakfast... As a biker they never disappoint....! Thanks for the hospitality.....

It's a decent hotel. My room needed some touches of paint here and there. But it was clean…read more Positives: clean, fairly new (last 4 years?) decor and furniture, I liked the laminate floor as opposed to carpet because I had pets to clean up after. Negatives: Tiny fridge that didn't work (but was replaced), no working exhaust in the bath with an open shower concept, a minimalistic style room with no drawers or closed cabinets or closet (open hanging), hanging light was missing a shade, there was a leak upstairs that left a stain on the ceiling, and a large scuff mark on the wall, I couldn't get my electric window blind to roll up, no microwave, and no guest laundry. Not really the best setup for over a couple days stay. I stayed over a week with pets. (I'm comparing to Home 2 Suites where I usually stay which has a kitchenette with almost full fridge, microwave, sink, dish washer, optional hot plate, pans and dishes, a couch, and guest laundry for the same price - at least I get it the same price). Overall, I would rank it below Home 2 Suites for the lack of conveniences. So give it a 7 and H2S a 9. But the light laminate floors are a plus with pets!

The carpet looked filthy, the bathroom floor looked dirty and the beds barely looked made. We skipped the breakfast expecting such a poorly maintained site would also have a horrible breakfast. Although we have deep roots in the area, we were visiting for our family reunion. The least that can be given is common courtesy, especially as paying patrons. I noticed it was not only myself, my family, but also other people who 'looked like' me that were spoken to harshly. We would have stayed elsewhere if other places weren't fully booked. Thankfully, by the time we checked out a wonderful young lady by the name of Tourea was pleasant, she heard my complaint(s) after asking how was our stay, and even apologized on behalf of the rudeness that was displayed. She did not have to do that! I would not recommend staying here, unless it is a last resort of some kind. The rooms were fine - microwave and fridge included. The breakfast was below mediocre, not good at all. So, I opted for the fruit.

This is the last time we stay in a Home2 Suites unless we are faced with no other options…read more In the last couple of years, we've stayed at Home2 Suites twice. Both times, the service, breakfast, and accommodations weren't up to par, particularly the breakfast. At breakfast, they always seem to run out of things like bowls, spoons, waffle mix, and so forth. Each time you go to get something, you're faced with a dilemma. For example, when you want cereal, you have to use a coffee cup because there are no bowls. Or, when you want yogurt, you have to eat it with a knife or fork because there are no spoons. One of the waffle makers was broken. I noticed that a man was having to wait at the front desk for a long time because the person working the front desk was having to replenish the breakfast items. They need more help. One person shouldn't be shouldered with doing it all. That's probably why they were out of things--because the desk clerk is helping someone so they aren't able to wash dishes. There was a lot of road noise, more so that would be typical, even next to an interstate highway. The room was in disrepair in several spots. The control for the shower was way off center from the faucet. The hangers for towels were falling out of the wall. The phone wasn't even plugged in. I'll add photos with this review. It's not what I would expect from the Hilton name. When I was growing up in the 70s and 80s, the name Hilton is something I associated with top-notch hotel accommodations. Sadly, I no longer make that association.
