Our stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Meridian, MS, was a delightful surprise! The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a welcome respite after a long day. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. One employee, in particular, went above and beyond when dealing with a flooded room situation (not our room). Despite having to work overtime, he maintained a positive attitude and handled the situation with professionalism. His good attitude and humor were truly appreciated. Even at checkout, the friendly demeanor continued. The front desk agent (Torian) interacted warmly with my niece, making her feel welcome and valued. These personal touches left a lasting impression and solidified my positive experience at the Hampton Inn. Overall, I recommend the Hampton Inn & Suites in Meridian. The clean accommodations, helpful staff, and welcoming atmosphere create a perfect stay for business or pleasure. The rooms were also updated. Dirty!!! What a difference a day makes. The night before we stayed at a freat Hampton Inn in Louisiana. This hotel, while in the same chain, was nothing like rhe night before. The carpet looked filthy, the bathroom floor looked dirty and the beds barely looked made. We skipped the breakfast expecting such a poorly maintained site would also have a horrible breakfast. If we hadnt been so tired last night we would have left as it's crazy to pay $159 for that room and I'm a Hilton rewards member. read more

We drove 7 hours to get to this hotel expecting a welcoming stay. I checked in on my app like usual. The app gave me a room. I did not choose it. Check in is at 3 it's now 4:00 pm. My digital key would not download so I went the front desk where I was rudely greeted by Miraka who told me my room was not ready. When I asked why I was assigned that room she began to talk over me and inform me that Hampton Inn does not guarantee your room is ready by check. This is false. She asked for my ID so I laid it down on the counter. After she was done talking over me I asked her if she was done with my id, she just said I glanced at it. She never confirmed my digit key. I was in a party of two, she never asked me how many keys I needed. She did tell me to enjoy my stay and then started mumbling under her breath. I love Hampton and Hilton Inns. However I encourage this general manager to ensure that his employees have a better attitude with tired frustrated customers read more

The accommodations here were lovely, but the staff was awful, specifically Eric at the front desk who was rude to both me and my family upon checking in and during our stay. Although we have deep roots in the area, we were visiting for our family reunion. The least that can be given is common courtesy, especially as paying patrons. I noticed it was not only myself, my family, but also other people who 'looked like' me that were spoken to harshly. We would have stayed elsewhere if other places weren't fully booked. Thankfully, by the time we checked out a wonderful young lady by the name of Tourea was pleasant, she heard my complaint(s) after asking how was our stay, and even apologized on behalf of the rudeness that was displayed. She did not have to do that! I would not recommend staying here, unless it is a last resort of some kind. The rooms were fine - microwave and fridge included. The breakfast was below mediocre, not good at all. So, I opted for the fruit. read more

The hotel is right off the highway and easy to find. We were immediately greeted upon arrival. The lady at the front desk was friendly and quickly checked us in. The room was clean and very roomy. I am extremely particular with the hotel bathrooms and this one was very clean. Although we didn't grab breakfast, the area was updated and neatly setup. If we roadtrip again, I'd definitely consider stopping here. The price was very reasonable as well. read more

Needs a lot of work to rise to Hilton standards. Front desk clerk was sitting in the lobby watching tv with her kids, No welcome, no thank you, nothing. Sign on the elevator saying that it was broken should have given me a clue that this was a bad choice. We arrived at the room to find the TV broken, I went down to the front desk and was told it was on the wrong channel because they no longer had a welcome channel. I walked back up and switched the input and lo and behold it still didn't work. Went back downstairs to ask for maintenance who showed up and couldn't fix it by banging on it as he said this technique works most times. He suggested we pack up and walk back downstairs to request another room. After waiting in the check in line again we got a different room. We arrived in the second room only to find that there were only two pillows on a king size bed with no bedding for the sofa bed, no sheets,blankets or even a pillow. I had to walk back down to ask for everything and expected to at least get an apology, NOT! Nothing. Definitely will not be staying here again. Rude,dirty, five trips back to the front desk after driving for 13 hours was not what I expected. read more

I am a hiltons honor member and typically have had no major complaints, however this stay was not the best. 1. The room doors slam shut whenever you open them, so every time someone walked out their room if they did not hold the door and close it behind them, the entire hotel shook and everyone heard the slamming all day and Night.. the 1st night I think it was appx. 25 slams from midnight to 7am.. in the morning it was even worse because the cleaning people would just let them slam as well. 2. The breakfast area on the Friday we were there had apps 50-60 teenagers spread out with all of their luggage so no other patrons of the hotel could even get through to get breakfast or sit down (I know not the hotels fault)however when I tripped and fell over one the suitcase in the walkway, you would think the staff would of asked the adults if the group to have the kids that were finished move but nope we had to take our breakfast back up stairs to eat. 3. The mattress is terrible unless you like sleeping on concrete. Plus my husband cut his leg on the metal piece that sticks out on the sides to hold the 2 twin boxsprings in place. 3. The toilet water would run off and on. Not the best experience. read more

When I booked the room, I booked a room with a sofa bed, there definitely was not a sofa bed. I booked the bigger room as I have a special needs daughter with autism and we needed the room for her and all her equipment. We did not get the room I requested. The room smelt disgusting . And later in the night, I saw two baby cockroaches. Cockroaches are extremely difficult and expensive to get rid of once they're in your home. I will not ever go here again! The rooms were clean and nice but I was very frustrated that for the price we paid, once we arrived everything was under construction. I paid more to have a hotel with a nice gym but upon arriving the locks and door knobs had been removed. I asked the woman working the desk and she said it was "due to renovations" but seeing clearly through the window that there was nothing going on. There's also pallets lining the main hallways currently taking up space but no one seems to be really doing anything. read more

What was good: new remodeled room. Staff very friendly. What was not good: no parking available. Shower did not work. Party going on at midnight - no enforcement of quiet hours (this was after midnight). Construction going on early in the morning. (See video - sound on). They should not be booking rooms with major construction going on. No way you could use your room in the day, and you cannot get a decent nights sleep. $120 paid for all of this unfortunately. read more

I just stopped in because I was traveling long distance around 439pm. The only room available was a queen double. I paid 165$ for this room and asked a out discounts which I had AAA and veteran and member points. None were applied. The room was adequate, nothing g special. Bath tub held water and was dirty. TV only had 20 channels working. They said they had been working g on that and internet all day. Breakfast was watery eggs and biscuits. Again nothing to be proud of. I seriously doubt I'll stay at another Hampton Inn since staying here read more

Very clean facility with friendly staff. They are pet friendly, which was a must for us, and they give you a list of pet friendly restaurants and activities at check-in. They called the room about 30 min. after check-in to ensure our room was satisfactory. No bar or restaurant, but they do have happy hour in the lobby area from 5-7pm (not sure if everyday or just weekends) with finger foods and adult drinks for free. The pool area is clean and shaded with plenty of tables to sit at. Free breakfast starts at 6am with plenty to choose from. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. read more

Rooms are clean and comfortable, but not overly large. Staff is friendly and there is a very good complimentary hot breakfast. Probably the nicest hotel in Meridian - I have stayed at several. The Hampton is very clean and has very friendly staff. The beds were good. My only complaints would be: 1. No smart tv so we could only use regular tv and it did not have a guide. Very basic cable. 2. The ac thermostat would only go down to 65. It was never that cool in the room. Otherwise, it was better than expected for Meridian. The employees were so nice and always spoke in passing. read more

I want to point out that there were NOT bed bugs in our room. Yes, I checked. I always check before doing anything in the room. You can't be too careful. I stayed in room 223 which was directly across from ice machine but any noise from the ice machine was covered up by the LOUD air conditioner. The large king bed was clean, but it had a slight bowl effect. I kept rolling toward the middle of the bed. It was not the most comfortable mattress ever, but I may be spoiled by my memory foam. Here, I tossed and turned all night. As for breakfast, the "hot breakfast" was an egg casserole which from the remaining bits I assumed it was egg, fried potatoes and maybe a meat. They were out when I went down for food 7:50am. I chose a cup of coffee and planned on snagging a bagged breakfast which has a bottled water, a breakfast bar, a breakfast cake and a piece of fruit. Our bag had an apple in it. This wasn't the best place I've slept at, but it was not the worst either. read more

I have stayed at many Hilton properties and this Hampton Inn ranks in the top 20. Breakfast was always hot and delicious and there was ALWAYS hot coffee. The staff was very helpful and the rooms very clean. We had a difficult time finding the parking lot the first time as the street is not marked well and you have to cross double line traffic to get to it. The breakfast area offers foods that I've never seen at any other Hampton Inn, homemade? who knows but breakfast is always delicious. Very dilapidated condition! Our room leaked one day, then the water caused an electrical fire the next. We had to be relocated in the middle of the night and no assistance was offered, although they were aware that my husband is handicapped. What a nightmare! The management was "not available" and non-responsive. Housekeeping service was spotty. The staff was trying, but they were very short on supplies and some were not well trained. To put the icing on the cake, when I got home. And reviewed my credit card bill, they had charged me for an additional night after check out. They eventually corrected it, after the hassle of calling to contest it. Avoid the hassles, find another place to stay! read more

This was the best hotel stay ever. Doesn't look like much from the outside, and the interior could use an update, however the staff and amenities were phenomenal. Miss Sara, an employee of Hampton inn meridian was an absolute pleasure to get to know. She told us all about the history of the city and her experiences. The have happy hour everyday 5-7 with free adult beverages and snacks. Water, at the front desk, chilled, upon request. The gym was cute, the pool was great and the lobby was well designed. I would give this hotel two stars. The parking lot wasn't very well lit and the Hampton Inn sign had every letter but one burned out. I ended up parking in the Hilton Garden Inn parking lot next door because it was brand new and very well lit. This Hampton Inn is an older one and is in need of a remodel. The check-in was seamless. The elevators were old and clunky, the lights for the floors were out, so you didn't know what floor you were on until the doors opened. The room was okay.....seemed very old, and the TV was flickering on and off. The breakfast was okay, same as most hotels. I wished we had stayed next door at the Hilton Garden Inn. read more

The room was fine. The woman serving the food was genial. That is about all i can say on the plus side. We finally figured out where the button was located to tune on the shower. The second morning the button did not respond regardless of what we tried. The tea options at breakfast were dismal - no plain black tea such as English Breakfast and no green tea. The only bread option was biscuits for biscuits and gravy. The obscure note at the front desk said they would only clean the room is we asked "in order to give us privacy." Our assumption is that the real reason is to cut their expenses to have even fewer underpaid cleaning folks. Clean hotel but will not stay here again. We like to sleep with temp in 68-70 range. Not possible here. Front desk says thermostats are lock. We did manage to drop room to 72. I know it sounds trivial but this is a first ( and hopefully last time) for this. Never had this issue at any other Hampton.... or any other hotel for that matter. The lobby is nice and clean and offers coffee/tea/hot water 24/7. Free wifi and breakfast in the morning? Yes, please. The room was clean and looks like new carpet and furniture. Another bad Hampton. Two now in 10 years of traveling. Under renovation. They did not bother to tell us this when we made our reservation. Felt it better to explain when we checked in at 10:00 pm. Not many options left at that hour. Dirty, due to renovation, I guess. Floors were scuffed and the place felt creepy. Everything, walls, floor, elevator showing signs of wear. Why does Hampton feel comfortable operating facilities under repair without warning people. It would have to be cheaper and quicker to shut them down when undergoing overhauls. They were also proud to inform us that the breakfast facilities we out of operation. (Something they did shutdown.) So we were directed to go next door to a Hilton for breakfast. Given a choice we would have stayed there too. Next time we will use the Fairfield just down the street rather than risk "renovation." read more

We stopped here returning to the Northeast from a roadtrip to Austin, and this place was like an oasis. We somehow ended up running behind and found ourselves driving down a dark interstate with few other cars, no street lights, and zero sign of human activity around us (though there were plenty of signs of massive insect life buzzing around outside). We thought we were goners, until, out of the blue, we pulled up to this hotel in a little cluster of businesses at an interstate exit. It was like a beacon. The front-desk staff were super-friendly and chatted with us about our trip. The included breakfast was good. The room's decor looked a little dated to me, but since this was my first stay at a Hampton Inn, I'm not sure if that's just this hotel or how all of them look. read more

We stayed here this weekend for a family reunion, had to leave a review because Michael gave us such AWESOME service. The rooms were clean and tidy, but saturday our ac unit shut down and we came back late in the evening (about midnight or 12:30) to a hot, wet, humid room. We called the front and immediately he offered to put us into a different room on the next level. 6 minutes later he shows up in the hallway and tells us he managed to keep us on the floor with the rest of our family. We were also given a complimentary bag with two ice cold waters and snacks for the night! He was incredibly kind and quick with service as well as the rest of the staff. We just loved how friendly everyone was, I didnt catch his name but there was also a gentleman servicing the pool that entertained our 2 year old nephew with the pool tools while we ate breakfast. Came to this hotel due to the storm in New Orleans and power outages, it's a very nice hotel, very clean, free breakfast from 6am-10am, they also have a pool, and free wifi. The staff was very pleasant for the most part expect Ms.Peggy, the overnight front desk receptionist. Me and my friend went to waffle house around 2am, and when we tried to get back in the hotel the doors were locked due to security reasons (which i love) but our key card wasn't working, we were knocking on the doors, tried every door around the building, called the hotel, no answer, when we finally got in we found Ms.Peggy and basically told her what was going on and that our key card wasn't working, and she was EXTREMELY rude about it, I understand your the only front desk receptionist, but to be locked out your hotel early in the morning is not safe and to just have our problems dismissed like it wasn't nothing was very extreme. My wife and I stayed here on the night of December 21 and it was not pleasant. No closet area at all in our room. The heating a/c unit was so far out of calibration, it was either way hot or way cold. The small refrigerator unit in the room sounded like a bad engine. I mentioned this to the manager when we left the next morning and she didn't seem to care at all. read more
