Looks like the complex is pretty new and I can see that they recently moved in so everything is well maintained, it does feel like new. Didn't interact much with the rest of the staff beyond the nurse practitioner and Dr. Mooney, but was impressed. Even though Dr. Mooney was running behind, they were very communicative of the situation so I wasn't just sitting without any information. New patients get a binder with really helpful information and a little more "get to know you" information than I've gotten with previous doctors, which made the visit a little more personable even though it was my first visit. Bonus points is that they do have a walk-in lab on site, so if you choose to get labs done here you don't have to go far!

Her bedside manner is kind, caring, meticulous, thorough and relaxed. She is not pretentious whatsoever. I appreciate a doctor who treats a patient with respect and in a humanizing and humble way. Relating to a patient is very important in the medical field. If it's not empathy, it should certainly be sympathy. My biggest peeve with doctors in the past has been them primarily being very short with their time and attention to my needs and medical concerns. I don't like to be treated like cattle, and certainly not like I am a dime a dozen. I don't get that treatment at all with this practice. You get that feeling of trust and peace of mind when you see Dr. Grant. An extra shout out go to the other office staff that work at the Community Southside Pavillon - from the nurses to the front office reception staff. They are all super friendly and welcoming. It's not an act. They are professional, and they are for real (genuine). A big bonus that this practice offers is that they are open on Saturdays until noon. It's always nice to have that option available.

During check‑in, I informed the receptionist that I urgently needed an inhaler and was currently between insurance coverage due to premium costs. I was told I would need to pay $175 to be seen. As a social work provider, I found it deeply concerning that a situation involving breathing difficulties did not prompt greater urgency or flexibility from the staff. Instead, I went to Ascension St. Vincent Emergency, where I received excellent care. I will not be returning to this location or any of their affiliated clinics.

I see Dr. Richardson here, and I have had a positive experience with him. My previous two providers…read moreare no longer practicing at this location, so Dr. Richardson took over my care. I feel comfortable with him and appreciate the care he provides. I recently came in for an appointment, and everything went as planned. I didn't have to wait long in the waiting room before being called back, which I appreciated. My provider ordered lab work, which they are normally able to complete in the office. However, on this particular day, they were understaffed and very busy, so I was asked to go to the main hospital lab instead. I had no issue with that and was able to complete my labs there without a problem. For anyone coming to this office, the easiest entrance to use is Door 11, which is the Women's Care entrance located near the ER. This was my first time using that entrance, and the parking lot was completely full when I arrived. I ended up parking farther away, but thankfully I'm able to walk and the weather was nice. Once inside, the office was easy enough to find. The only challenging part was navigating from the office to the main hospital lab. The walkways can be a little confusing, and I found myself turned around briefly, but I was eventually able to find the lab and make my way back to the entrance I came through afterward.

They recently moved from Madison Avenue to E. Countyline Rd, in Greenwood located conveniently across the street from the new Costco. They are part of the Franciscan Physician Group. Note their new name is now Madison Family Medicine (previous name was Madison Avenue Family Practice). I paid a recent wellness visit to my primary care physician, Dr. Shelley Stiner, DO, who practices at this facility. Upon arriving at their beautiful new location, I found the facility to have a large waiting area with plenty of seating, magazines and flat screen TVs to enjoy while waiting for my appointment. The staff has always been very friendly from the front desk to the nursing assistants. Dr. Stiner always listens carefully to my concerns and offers healthy alternatives to prescriptions where possible. She is very pleasant and professional. I have always had short wait times on all of my visits and scheduling for appointments or a referral has been very easy when working with their office staff. Lastly, I love their "My Chart", web portal....you can schedule appointments see your past visits, Billings, request a prescription refill and various other things related to your healthcare experiences. They have an excellent response time to their emails that have been submitted to this portal. After each visit I receive an emailed survey of my most recent visit to complete if I choose to do so. I have always seen Dr. Stiner, but I believe they have at least one nurse practitioner and possibly more and other doctors available. For this large of facility I'm sure they have to have other physicians, but I don't have that information. Actually as I was walking out the door I saw sign for a new physician. (See photo attached) If you are ever in need of a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, I highly recommend giving Dr. Stiner a try if she is accepting new patients. I have been with her for approximately 1 1/2 years due to my doctor retiring and wanting to try a DO for my healthcare needs. Due to her high demand, I had to wait initially about six months until she was able to accept a new patient. (I had to keep calling every so often to see if they were accepting new patients). I hit it lucky I guess and on one call was told she was taking on new patients. At this point in time, I'm very happy with their services and the new location of this practice. Review #28 08/11/16
