I needed a nurse to pick me up from a doctors appt and take me home. I had a procedure with local anesthesia and could not drive home. Omg! They will drive you crazy with their calls. 3 calls to confirm the day before. 2 calls to confirm day off. And they called me when I was having the procedure! Omg! Stop!!! Since the procedure yesterday, I already have an email and robo call about it! Give me a break! I will not use them again and will try to find a contract nurse instead. read more

Amera recently transported me to Dallas Methodist Charlton hospital for my Colonoscopy procedure. The driver Clarence was a total professional. I was picked up at my home at 5:00am for an early arrival check-in at the hospital. Setting up an Amera appointment is easy. I also had to contact billing with a guestion. Each time I called Amera I spoke with a live person that showed patience and a willingness to understand what my needs were. I have used them once before and plan to use them in the future. They also have the ability to sign you out from the hospital after a procedure, if that is required, such as in a Colonoscopy. read more

Terrible experience. Driver did not act like he was driving home a person who just had surgery. He was on the phone with different people throughout the drive and jerking the car around so much that I had to grab the handle on the door more than once, which was very, very painful on my surgery site. He even seemed like he was trying to get payment from me right after I got in the car which I found very confusing because I paid by card when I scheduled the ride. Is he trying to scam people that may be vulnerable after surgery? Horribly Unethical! I will NEVER, EVER use amera solutions again. Just Awful. read more

Horrible. They arrived late to take me to a colonoscopy. I paid the driver to stay, ($105 for 3 hours) since I had to have a ride home before the procedure could begin. In total, the fee was $295. Then the driver left, and I was stuck on a gurney with an IV in me, while nurses and doctors tried to contact him. He didn't answer his phone for two hours. He finally returned. After the procedure, he drove me home, hours later than expected, and when I got home, I emailed the CEO. She has not responded. Nor have any of her minions. No apologies. Nothing. Never again. Update: Hours later, no response from emails, no response by going to chatroom on company website, no response from Yelp review, no response from Twitter comments. I used Amera for outpatient oral surgery where the oral surgeon required me to have an adult drive me to my appointment, wait at their office during the procedure and then drive me home since anesthesia was used. 5-star service! Used Amera to pick me up from a day surgery. I was done almost 2 hours earlier than I had told Amera and was prepared to wait, but they arrived within about 20 minutes of the call from the surgery center. The driver was pleasant, prompt, and professional, and he came inside, signed me out to the surgery center's satisfaction, and got me home safely. Yes, it's more expensive than a taxi or an Uber, but the surgery centers won't allow taxi or Uber pickups. This was totally worth the cost, in my opinion! We used Amera solutions to get from the airport back to our home with a family member in a wheelchair. The driver was on time and courteous, and drove us all safely home. Unfortunately, it was much more expensive than a traditional car to the airport but comparable to the other company we contacted. ($150 to IAH) They left a brochure and it looks like their around town rates are much more affordable so I would definitely use them again for wheelchair transportation. read more

The driver was over an hour late picking up my father for an appointment. I called three times to find out what the delay was and was given a different story each time as to why he was late and his location. One time I was told there was an accident at an intersection and the driver had to be rerouted, but I have a photograph of that intersection showing there was no accident or blockage. My father ended up being an hour late to a very important doctor's appointment and I was not given any apology or compensation from the company. read more

Amera Medical Transportation My driver arrived early. She was courteous, knowledgeable of the medical center, (more so than I would be). I was very comfortable with her driving in Houston traffic she was very observant of the vehicles around her. Has a big rig driver for many years, she is one of the few I can be this comfortable with. Crystal politely & very informed explained everything over the phone. When I called back a second time the price quoted was the same as before with no additional fees or charges. They have reasonable rates compared to other modes of transportation. If it wasn't for Amera Medical I would have not been able to have the surgery I needed. I would recommend this business to anyone. I used Amera to transport me in a wheelchair accessible vehicle to a doctor appointment and back home. I had arranged the trip a few days before my appointment. They called me on the morning of my appointment to inform me that one of their drivers couldn't make it to work that day, so they would not be able to wait for me during my doctor visit, which was an upgrade I had chosen. That was good to know in advance, and they gave me a slight discount for the inconvenience. It worked out fine as I didn't have a long wait for them to return to pick me up after my appointment. The only problem was that a different person came for the return trip. Even with the help of GPS, that person had some difficulty finding the right parking lot and office suite of my doctor. read more

No so happy with the service , I needed someone to accompany me to a medical procedure. The facility turned me away and cancelled the procedure. I went over the details with the booking agent and was told they absolutely provide this service. When the medical facility contacted Amera , Amera told them i did not book my appointment correctly. From my point of view there is no credibility. This may seem minor but I fasted and prepped for the procedure and not to mention the angst in having it done and then having it cancelled. We used Amera Solutions to transport my father from Dallas to Kindred in Houston. He is on the vent so his transport was a bit complicated but Amera got him there without a hitch. They were fantastic. The whole staff was very attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. I called and spoke with Crystal, Management and she was very nice and helpful. I booked a service for Fri. 10/19/18 for 1:00pm. They gave me a confirmation number and emailed me with a copy. They called me Friday am, and told me they would be at my house at 1pm. My husband had a Doctor's appt. at 1:30, . NO problem they said. 1:00pm no show, they ca;lled and said they had an emergency, I said my husband has this appt and we cannot be late. No problem Maurice said (the dispatcher). He calls back and said they had an emergency getting someone out of a stretcher. I advised him, i have been a CNA for 30 years. It take 2 guys to pick the person up. What kind of an excuse is that. I already paid them and now i am getting the run around. They called the Doctor's office and told them about there issue, they said they would hold the appt. from 1:50pm to 2:30pm. I do not trust people who lie, i called the dr. office, no problem we will wait.They called back said they would be at the house at 1:25pm, did not come I called the office and told them, this is unacceptable and you only have one ambulance for this area. They said again were sorry. They will be there on there way. In the meantime I called Crystal and complained, she said we will give you a gift card for next time, I will not use you. In meantime, it is 2pm no show. So i got my husband up, into a walker, got him into the van, as we are pulling out of the driveway,they were coming down the road. Told the guy, i called and cancelled you. My husband was very upset, he told them that they are 45 min. late. I recommend everyone out there, call someone else! read more
