    Katayef and Baklava
    Amrin K.

New location for Mediterranean food SW of town. Conveniently located off of the freeway in a plaza with plenty of parking. There's decent amount of seating inside, no outside seating. They are still getting into their groove but it was nice to see that there were repeat customers while I was there. I also met the owner and partner. They were both very friendly and ready to strike up a conversation. I went for lunch on Saturday and I was the only one there so it was pretty quiet and quick. A few people arrived shortly after and sounded like they've been there before. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate which came with a salad, rice, hummus and one pita bread. The pita was nice and freshly baked. The chicken shawarma was their take on it, not the traditional kind which was a little disappointing. Tasted fine but not the traditional flavoring and process. I also tried both the katayef- walnut and cheese. Definitely like the walnut one. And tried the baklava which theirs was made with almonds. None of the desserts were overly sweet which was nice.

Asim is awesome! Great service and great food. Food was great, we got the lamb chops, beef kebab plate and we also got the chicken kebab. Everything was delicious. I really love the rice and the french fries were yummy as well. They're like fresh cut french fries. Everything taste like it's made with love here. It's a cute little restaurant nice music.

The food was excellent. Everything was fresh. Very tasty. The plates were full for the price point. It was a lot. I'm telling you this is a must try.! It's a small hole in the wall place. You can just dress casually. They have a few tables. It looks like it's family run.

This place is a gem! We have been wanting to try it, and we finally made it here today. Everything we ordered was great and home made. We got the grape leaves and kibbeh for our appetizers--both so delicious! We also got the steak & chicken kabob plate, which came with a generous portion of hummus and salad, plus pita bread. And for dessert we had the Turkish coffee and pistachio baklava . Food is beautifully flavored, the chicken kabob was my favorite. Was only able to take pics of the baklava We are already thinking of when to come back to try other food on the menu!

Craving Middle Eastern Food especially Lebanese- then this is your place. Recently reopened to a new location. The service is impeccable- owner, chef, and server were attentive. Very helpful on explaining the food and made sure that the food we order is to our liking. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share- hummus, zataar flatbread, fries, and kibbeh. They had different sauces in the table and also gave us tzatziki. They give you plenty of bread- made in house. The chicken and beef shawarma were delicious- flavorful and not dry, comes with rice and salad. The lentil soup is so good. Beef kofta plate is delicious. Make sure to have the mint lemonade - so good. Make room for dessert- we did have to wait for the kunafeh which is made fresh. Totally worth the wait. Make sure to ask for extra syrup/sauce. Perfect with Turkish coffee. Definitely coming back and trying other item in the menu. Great to support local business.

The food and service was fantastic! We had the chicken wrap and chicken shawarma plate. And with garlic and hot sauce. They added a pack of ketchup to go with the fries. Fries were fresh. Highly recommend adding a slice of baklava, one of the best I've had! Don't miss out on this spot if you're in the area. Thanks for a great lunch!

K and I visited for a weekend lunch. We entered and were greeted right away. I had an unsweetened iced tea and we shared a babaganoush, lentil soup and a chicken and beef skewer combo plate. Iced tea was great and free refills. Homemade pita and babaganoush was yummy. Lentil soup was a huge serving; not as thick as I'm used to but we enjoyed it. The skewer combo plate came with good portions of rice, salad and hummus. Steak skewer was really tender and we enjoyed both skewers. I thought we'd have some leftovers with the amount of food we got but we finished everything. Friendly service and laid back atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Great food and service! Saw several reviews and wanted to try this spot. Having been to the Middle East we were curious on how authentic it would be. We were not disappointed with our orders and found several of the items as good as what we had overseas, and some even better. The freshly baked pita and hummus were outstanding. Parking was easy on the weekend and staff were great.

I looked it up on google and it had thousands of reviews so I had to give it a try. the steak shawarma plate was out of this world. and I don't say that lightly! first of all, LOOK at the amount of sides. fresh pita, hummus with the toppings on it, yellow rice, cucumber salad, slaw, olives, pico, and crispy fried onions?? it felt like a whole feast for one plate. every single side was fresh, and it was a fun experience eating everything. the shawarma itself was seasoned perfectly. but the thing that really sent me was the garlic aioli. I would genuinely buy a bottle of it if they sold it. and the rice was so good as well! 10/10 spot- I can't wait to take my parents here as they only eat halal! will definitely come back

I went from sha-hot-a paradise outside to this inside…read more Shawarma Paradise is a nondescript shop in Little Ethiopia. For those who might get lost trying to find it, they're pretty much right across the street from Burger King. After I finally located them and walked in, it looked odd since it felt like almost behind the counter, but you can just walk around to the dining room and the front of the counter. I was recommended a couple of choices and went with the Black Angus Steak Shawarma as a Laffa wrap ($24.50). The employee had me walk over to the Chipotle-esque assembly area after and then walked me through the choices. I recall getting hummus, a mild green sauce of some kind, raw sumac onions, fried onions, fried eggplant, cucumber, pico de gallo, and purple slaw. Then the cool stuff happened when he offered to let me sample some sauce and then get multiple sauces on the side. The curry mango amba is some really challenging stuff that resembled something I've tried at some Indian lunch buffet ages ago, so I'm glad I didn't get it on the wrap. The creamy BBQ aioli (kinda like a sweeter fry sauce, I felt), dill & roasted garlic mayo, and tahini were all better options, the former going especially well with my included side of fries while the dill plays a great supporting role and the tahini just does its thing. I sat down and got to the actual wrap, and it was delicious. The laffa is fluffy and thicker than I thought it might be; it ain't a lavash, that's for sure. The steak is pretty tender, often has that char from the vertical rotisserie it was carved from, and free from chewy bits. It has a nice warming spice rub which you can get more easily before starting to experiment with sauces. All three aforementioned choices worked. Overall, it isn't cheap (especially if you don't have cash on-hand to avoid the surcharge), but I enjoyed it. I also got a bottled lemonade ($4.95) of some sort which they've imported from Israel. It had a little more actual lemon character than American brands, and I kinda plowed through that thing pretty quickly. I'm kinda curious whether the mango, peach, or grape options would have also worked. Shawarma Paradise is a very good, albeit pricey option for steak shawarma and likely for other protein needs. Check them out if you get the craving, as I'm not confident that there are many if any better spots around.

The six-course meal was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and delicious. I especially loved that parts of the dining experience were interactive, it made the evening feel even more special and immersive. The ambiance was perfection. The warm red glow, gorgeous decor, and thoughtfully dim lighting created an elegant, intimate atmosphere without making it difficult to see. Every detail made it feel like I had been transported somewhere truly special. The live entertainment was the perfect finishing touch. The belly dancers were incredibly talented and added so much energy and authenticity to the evening. Combined with the music, it created an experience that was about so much more than just dinner. One of my favorite moments happened as soon as I was seated, when my hands were ceremonially washed. It was such a unique and welcoming touch that set the tone for the rest of the night. Our server was outstanding. Once he learned it was my first time visiting, he made sure I felt welcomed and took great care of us throughout the entire evening.
