In a world where every new animated movie is rated PG or higher(or should be) this theater constantly shows older G rated movies at a reasonable price. They do lots of events in the Summer for kids movies as well and on Tuesdays. The only chain feel to this theater is the price of concessions but if you know anything about theaters you know they don't make hardly any money on movie tickets all their money comes from concessions and I for one am happy to pay a premium to keep this theater in business.

We used to see Deadpool & Wolverine in 3D. 3D movies come with a slight surcharge. This was a new procedure for Olivia, the cashier, but she quickly adapted. She made us feel valued as customers with her friendly manner and her concern for making sure we got the discounted price we were entitled too. SEEfilm remains the best place to watch 3D movies in the county. Large screen, large, comfortable chairs, stadium seating, and a world class 3D projection system with surround sound. The auditorium is always clean. And it was the perfect venue to watch Deadpool & Wolverine. It's by far the best of the three films. After the movie my son talked to Sara, the GM of SEEfilm. He said she was also very nice and enjoyed my son's praise about the family environment of the theaters. He also told he how much he appreciated that the theater hires people with disabilities to help them develop new job skills and to attain work experience. Quick thinking like that turned a small inconvenience into a 5 star review. The IMAX is awesome. Screen size is great, seats are comfortable, layout is good. Not full recliners but big, good quality, and you even get a little table. As for the movie, it looks incredible. Cinematography is top tier and the sound in here was worth the drive on its own. I just wasn't immersed, and it came down to the cast. Tom Holland, Zendaya, Matt Damon, Charlize Theron. They've all had movies out around the same time, so I kept seeing their other roles instead of the characters. Felt like someone took Spider-Man out of the multiverse, dropped him in the land of Dune, and put Bourne out front leading the pack. The ADA seating and some of the seats up front is folding chairs and pop up tables. Luckily we had the nice recliner chairs. I don't know if it's clear or not on the website on which seats don't recline and are instead folding chairs. Service was good and the food was excellent. Military discount available. I guess they recently raised their prices, but it is currently 5$ for 2D movies, which is a great deal and they show multiple different movies each week. These are the same movies playing for regular prices at other theaters in the area. I'm told they often even have free sneak previews that are easy to access. I'm not sure what you have to do to be able to get access this theater, but I was able to go with them and get on base with just providing my ID at the gate. There is a large parking lot and the theater itself is pretty large. On the night I went they were running behind and the movie started later than the posted time, but not sure how often this occurs. Thankfully my parents warned me in advance that you say the pledge of allegiance prior to the movie starting or I would have been very confused. They have a full concession stand and some deals on popcorn and drinks. My parents enjoy the variety of seasoning available to spruce up your popcorn.

Just a slideshow while you're waiting, of advertisements from local businesses. Then just a few previews and your movie starts. The sound quality is great and the theaters are small, so you always get a good seat. The theater is owned and run by local Port Townsend residents, who are often there, and will always try to make time for a question or a chat or even just a quick hello between rushing off to check the projector or close the heavy red velvet drapes before the film starts or fill a bag of popcorn. They run a selection of the latest box office hits, classic films, and even ballets and operas. My hubs and I love this movie from 1989 and it was wonderful to see it in a classic, vintage theater (100+ years old!) with a good-sized crowd. So fun to laugh and cry with lots of people at the movies again!! The COVID pandemic took this tradition away and I am really hoping more people start going back to the movies again. The staff were friendly and the place was clean and full of good popcorn smells. We didn't partake though because $9 for a small bag of popcorn is just too expensive. But we appreciated this nice, old theater and we will be back.
