Part one of my Barbieheimer experience had me visiting the movies unexpectedly! I arrived at 11:58 for the noon show, but no rush -- there was a half hour of previews. I had the small theater to myself and thoroughly enjoyed. The pop corn smelled fresh and there are also icees! Tickets are still being sold at concessions at this time. missed the beginning of movie ticket office not open, purchased ticket online when i realized box office not open got there 225 for 2:30 movie knowing i would miss the 20-25 minutes previews which i was fine with. did not expect to stand in line over 45 minutes just to show my barcode. 2 employees working the entire front counter. was ridiculous. they were slow as hell. why they did not have 2 other employees at each side to scan tickets is beyond me. not happy and although 5 minutes from my home dont think i will ever return. very pissed customer read more

It's directly behind the big Ferris wheel at this cineplex that has 3D and jumbo digital screens. First time here and it's a very nice movie theater that's clean, spacious, with great climate control and very comfy seats. Something different here is you buy your tickets inside, at the concession stand, which is not a bad idea for those 100+ heat index days, so no standing and melting in line outdoors. Although if it's one of those super popular movies in the summer you should probably get there early because waiting on all those popcorn purchasers. We saw Avatar in RealD 3D in a great Dolby sound system that was very enjoyable. Theatre rental and party rooms are available, $5 ticket Tuesdays, discount matinees, and a lot of movie and concession specials. From the ancient film protectors and LoFi stereo sound to how employees typed in my non-QR code digital ticket, everything was analogue...I mean everything! And you'd better hope that the movie wasn't shot at night (like every Batman movie ever made), or you'll be staring at a blank screen for three hours - since they likely haven't change protector bulbs in years. The Theater was fine, the popcorn and drink were good, but the "prefect straws" are awful!!! Drinking a large drink I went through 7 straws! The straws cracked and split easily! Who was the idiot that thought those were a good idea! If you're trying to save the plane, why is there a plastic lid on the drink cup and why are there plastic cups for the Icee's??? A real plastic straw is not going to destroy the earth, the democrats will!!!! read more

My standards are high as I come from the luxurious land of Chesterfield, Mo but I expect a lot more. This is a perfect spot for a AMC and should be a thriving location. But it seems like the only business it's getting are the tourist headed to Orange Beach (me). You walk in and there's no life, a completely different world from the outside. No color or vibrant atmosphere, instead just a little hockey arcade game in the back. The rooms themselves are out dated. Seats don't recline, you sit on top of other people, and it just doesn't make a good experience. Also it looks like a warehouse from the outside which isn't very fitting. read more

My husband and I drove to Orange Beach for lunch and to see the movie, The Wife, because it wasn't offered at our local theater. Any excuse to go to the beach area!! We were greeted by a friendly lady at the counter. I had purchased our tickets from my AMC app on my phone. Being a STUBS member allows you discounts at the theater so the the membership more that pays for itself. Each time you purchase tickets or snacks at the concession stand you accumulate points which gives you free popcorn and cokes on occasion, free coke and popcorn during your birthday month ( once during birthday month); large drink for the medium price. I was going to purchase 2 large popcorns and the lady suggested that the annual bucket with the STUBS discount would be my best deal and and even handed us a bag so my husband and I could share the popcorn. How nice was that!! The theater had comfortable seating and the movie was enjoyable. Be sure to check out this theater if you are at the beach and wanting to check out the latest movies. read more

I was very disappointed in this AMC! There was no one monitoring or checking ticket stubs to get in so people were jumping out of line and just walking in without paying. The line to go buy tickets was the concession line and it was literally 100 people deep! Then once you finally got in considering you paid, the floors and bathrooms were a wreck! Toilet paper and popcorn everywhere. They must've been extremely low staffed but overall very disappointing environment! But the movie and seats were good. read more

When it is raining at the beach, what a better thing to do then go see a movie? We arrived at the theater for a 12:00 movie, it was pretty slow. We got our tickets and headed into the theater to see 'A Quiet Place' . We were two of only a hand full of people in the whole theater which was nice. The whole place was clean, even the bathrooms. No popcorn all over the floor or sticky handles on the seats. The staff were all nice and helpful. All in all its a good movie theater. If you are looking for something to do on a not so perfectly sunny beach day, I recommend heading over to the Wharf for a little shopping, a bite to eat and a movie! read more

The workers are so nice and they have great deals on the food. For example there is free refills for popcorn, drinks, and icees no matter the size. The bathrooms were 3.5/5 on cleanliness but nothing to terrible. They even had the fun soda machines that can add all the flavors to the soda. My only complaint is they don't have the newer chairs that recline. I paid 9 dollars online for my ticket vs the 13 I pay at many places because the seat. The seats were my only complaint the workers went out of their way to be friendly. read more

The theaters restrooms STINK! And I mean the strong odor of old urine from not being sanitized for at least several days at a time. I can not believe everyone working there is nose blind. Maybe the manager needs to get off their back side and go for a walkabout. This is a regular occurrence at this theater. Which otherwise is a great place to see a movie. read more

Was told they did not have either, I asked what did they have. Lady told me they really only had nachos, didn't know if they offered root beer. This is the worst movie-going experience I have ever had and the worst run movie theater I have ever seen. My family and I visited this location on a rainy afternoon during the week of 4th of July. We arrived 40 minutes before a 3:00 show time in order to avoid any lines. Well that didn't work. There was no one working the ticket booths and ticket kiosk was out of order. There were tiny signs directing patrons to purchase tickets at the concession stand. The concession stand only had 3 people working so the line for tickets snaked out the front door. This process was so inefficiently run we missed the 3:00 and the 3:30 showings of Despicable Me 2. Instead we had to purchase tickets for the 6:00 show. When we arrived at the front of the line, we overheard one of the empolyees say they had run out of ice and could no longer sell beverages. At one point, 1 of the 3 employees working the concession stand left to go on break even while the lines (at least 5 lines) of people to get in still stretched outside. When we returned for the 6:00 show, trash cans were overflowing with garbage. Inside the theater, there was garbage on the floors and the floors and seats were sticky. The employees didn't seem to care at all and there seemed to be no management presence at all. If there was management, they obviously didn't realize this was a holiday week in a tourist destination and plan their work schedules accordingly. My family and I visit Orange Beach every summer and we will never step foot in this Carmike theater again. Absolutely unacceptable! read more

This place used to be a rave but was recently bought out by Carmike, and I have to say they are having a few growing (or I guess changing?) pains. This theater always seemed really well maintained and run in the times I visited before, but this most recent trip was a mess. They weren't selling tickets at their ticket counter or kiosk so you had to buy them at concession stand (which is fine, but they had 2 people working trying to sell tickets and snacks at the same time to what I estimated was easily 50 or more people). Because the people at the register were having to do 2 different things it really slowed their progress down and you could tell the length of the line was stressing them out a little (which I know was not their fault at all!). What bothered me in this whole situation was that there was a guy in a suit (I'm assuming a manager or the person in charge for the day at least) who kept walking in and out of different doors, but not seeming to be doing anything himself or to fix the problem. He could've easily taken up a register himself or put someone back at the ticket booth to split the work, but instead he just seemed like he was making himself look busy so no one could complain to him. Other than this mishap, I do like this theater. The screens and projectors are very high quality and the picture was perfect. The theater was very clean and comfortable. I think they just need to plan a little better staffing-wise. read more
