I am writing this review on behalf of my husband that recently had a simple preventative…read moreprocedure. Most people want to avoid this procedure but speaking on behalf of my husband he said it was extremely easy to do and very glad he didn't put it off any further. It's called a colonoscopy. He said the difficult part ( but not that difficult) was not being able to eat the day before. However, you may indulge in a liquid diet consisting of fat-free bouillon or broth, strained fruit juice,water,plain coffee,tea,diet soda. You may also have gelatin or popsicles WITHOUT RED COLOR. You will be required to consume a special liquid prescribed by the Dr and lots of water. This will completely empty the colon. We arrived at the Surgery Center 45 minutes prior to surgery. I was the driving escort, which is required . We were greeted by a very friendly professional staff. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of this facility. While waiting approx. One hour I watched tv. Dr Eugene Coman performed the Surgery and Scott was the anesthesiologist . My husband felt very comfortable with both Dr Coman and Scott. They were confident, professional and personable. Must also mention the nurses were very friendly, professional and knowlegable. Thank you all very much! The procedure was a success and within 45 minutes we were on the way to the diner where my husband made up for not eating for a day and a half! So my point is there is no excuse for not having a colonoscopy. It may save your life! I wish you the best!

I had a very disappointing experience at LI Urgent Care in West Babylon…read more My appointment was scheduled for 9:08 AM, yet not a single staff member--front desk or medical--arrived until after 9:10 AM. If your hours begin at 9:00 AM, patients should not be left waiting while the entire staff arrives late. It immediately set the tone for a lack of professionalism and respect for patients' time. Unfortunately, the issues only escalated from there. I took the time to clearly explain my allergies to the provider, yet a prescription was still called in for a medication I am allergic to. This is not a minor oversight--it is a serious patient safety concern. As someone already not feeling well, having to go back and forth between the pharmacy and the office to correct this was both frustrating and unacceptable. The replacement medication that was prescribed caused significant side effects, to the point where I did not feel comfortable continuing it. When I called back within 24 hours to request a change to a medication I have previously taken without issue (and confirmed to be dye-free due to a severe allergy), my concerns were dismissed. Instead of listening, I was given an inaccurate explanation that my reaction was due to combining it with a steroid--despite the fact that I had already consulted with the pharmacist and did not take the steroid at all. At no point did anyone take the time to have a proper conversation or fully understand the situation. To make matters worse, when I inquired about dye content the following day, they were somehow able to check and verify the medication. That level of attention should have been provided from the start, especially given that my allergy was clearly communicated. Consistency in patient care should not depend on who happens to be handling the case. After verifying with the pharmacy which medication would be safe, I called the urgent care again and requested that specific prescription. Once again, after unnecessary back-and-forth, they agreed--but then proceeded to call in a completely different medication without any communication or explanation. The lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and disregard for patient input made this an incredibly frustrating experience. What should have been a straightforward visit turned into a stressful and drawn-out ordeal while I was already unwell. I will not be returning. This experience was a complete nightmare and only made an already difficult situation worse.

To say I am beyond happy with my procedures would be an understatement.Any road bump that I hit from paper work that needed to be sent to this office from another doctor..CVS script misunderstandings etc,the office staff always returned my calls and promptly rectified the issue-usually before we even spoke!Today,I am here to get the stitches removed and I feel safe in my doctors hands.My feet look better already than they had prior.Hey,I love heels!This is what happens sometimes if you're not careful. Plus,the office never has people on top of one another.The appointments are properly spaced and you must call prior to entry. There is even a lift on the side of the building that I used last week while still in the wheelchair 100% of the time.

I didn't have a voice for days and was heaving when I did the breath test. I was given antibiotics for 7 days and he was given the same but for more days and cough medicine. He was given a call to check in a few days later and I got nothing. They sent his throat swab to the labs and was told he needed to switch meds (after the results came in) bc those were better. When I called to ask if they had my results back I was told they didn't even bother sending mine to the lab. I could hardly breathe from all the coughing and he maybe coughed once the entire time. It's disgusting that racial discrimination at this level is still occurring in the medical field. I've been sick for 2 weeks now and will have to go back in to hopefully be seen by a more competent and empathetic provider. BF is totally fine though, hasn't coughed in days.
