My favorite part is the huge field near the Halloway Rd entrance to the park. The grass is always cut in the field so you can lay down a blanket for a picnic or play with your dog. There is tons of room to run around. A dog water fountain and a couple of place for your dog to drink water, although the water was out last time we were there :(.... they will probably have it back on before summer. They also have bags to pick up if they go to the bathroom, most of the people are good about cleaning up after their dogs. During the daytime on nice days there's always a good amount of dogs there and that's when our German Shepard loves to go and make friends!

It was built by the Public Works Dept. with a contribution of $45,000 from the Cranberry Rotary Club - thus the name. It features separate off-leash fenced in running areas for big and little dogs. It also has a second fenced space for large dogs so they rotate use. The parking area is graveled. They have a double gate entry system that allows dogs to enter without letting others out, which is great. They also have a clean-up bag dispenser and fresh water. Bring your Fido here. The owners behind the bar were absolutely fantastic. They were quick to provide samples of anything on draft, recommendations based on your flavor preferences, and quick to work through the line. No one was waiting long for a drink. Parking is along the street, since this is on Penn Ave, but we didn't have an issue finding a spot a block down. They mentioned having some fun things planned for when the weather starts to improve. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

This is a wonderful and relatively new dog park that is part of Brandy Springs Community Park. The…read moredog park is conveniently located near the park's entrance off of Rt 158. Parking is nearby and far enough away from the ball fields that you never have to worry about not finding a spot. The off-leash areas are well done and well kept. Two separate areas, one for smaller and one for larger dogs, as parallel and share a common fence well. My dog enjoys this as although she is smaller she loves to play with the bigger dogs by running along the shared fence. The facilities are well marked and in good repair so there's no worry or confusion about dogs escaping. The benches, water fountains and bowls that are provided within the play area are greatly appreciated, as well as the spare doggy bags for cleanup. While the dogs are playing it's really fun to enjoy the view of the lake and surrounding woods. The trail nearby and the resident swans also make for some extra interest with the four-legged friends. Although I usually am the only one there when I visit, the few times I've encountered other visitors and dogs have been really pleasant. This park is a really great addition to a nice community park!

While working in Beaver County I have passed this sign to Buttermilk Falls countless times, but…read morenever had occasion to stop until yesterday. It was a gorgeous, sunny, unseasonably warm March day & I was the first car in the tiny dirt parking area on the left as soon as you turn in. The Falls is now directly across from the new entrance to the Pennsylvania Turnpike. There is a big stone covered with graffiti on the right. After you park, you just hop out and hit the path and follow the sound of gushing water. it is a short distance to the Falls, but it is uphill and it is steep and rocky and this is not a suitable path for anybody with physical limitations of any sort. It can also be dangerous for young children. It's very beautiful and it is worth the hike up. If you're sturdy footed (muddy & rocky), you can walk right behind the falls and it's quite beautiful. Highly recommended for a sightseeing but I'm sure it gets crowded and warmer weather.
