Then she pushed it again to 11 PM and still never came. I had clearly mentioned that I have work the next day, but there was absolutely no respect for my time. Because of her cancellations and no-shows, I ended up with no mehndi on my hands for the festival I look forward to every year. This was my first time booking with her, and it was such a terrible experience. Highly unprofessional, unreliable, and unethical. She fully accommodated my request for my dogs to be included in the designs and did my sister's mehendi the same night. She also provided great tips for darkening the henna like applying sugar syrup onto the henna, drying the henna over stove top with cloves, and using gauze (not Mefix) for leaving the henna on overnight. The next day, she provided over 15 party guests with mehendi (the line was long because everyone was eager!) and was willing to stay extra time to make sure everyone received designs. She provided me and my guests with lifelong memories. My mehendi was so beautiful, I couldn't stop looking at the designs throughout my wedding. They did both hands and feet for me with stunning designs, clearly incorporated what I said I was looking for, and worked SO quickly. They finished (admittedly smaller than some bridal henna I've seen, only to just past my wrists) in maybe 2.5 hours, and took another hour/hour and a half to complete 8 or so smaller designs. Their pricing was extremely reasonable, much less than other artists and the quality was unbeatable. I left the paste on for about 4 or 5 hours, but the paste was getting itchy and I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep with it on, so I took it off after that time, and still got a beautiful dark stain that lasted for about a week. If it makes sense for you, I definitely recommend scheduling your henna in the morning so you can leave the paste on for more of the day to get an even darker stain, but mine was gorgeous even after just a few hours.

I let that slide but what hurt me the most was when I asked for a referral discount (she was the mehndi artist for my fiance's brother) she replied with in the bigger picture mehndi is only 1% of the entire wedding cost. This was derogatory and I wouldn't know that? I have an entire budget spreadsheet and merely asking for a discount. All she had to say was no or politely decline. I chose another mehndi artists but just keep in mind that we are paying the artist they are not paying us so customer service is key! Please choose your mehndi artists wisely and just because someone is such in high demand does not mean they can compromise good customer service. Spending MY money elsewhere!
