The sausages and burgers they make their are great and the meat comes from the farm, they also make a great rang of pies and pastys and cakes you can buy via the slice or the whole cake. The coleslaw from the butchers is great and goes really well with the ham cooked on the bone that they do. They do a range of puddings in the fridge and lovely frozen fruit great for pies in the freezer. There buns are fab, the best things are the corned beef slices the country barn pastys and the mars bar slices the lemon drizzle cake is also worth a try The coffee shop is great with plenty of seats there is another level off the level where you get served the food is not too expensive and if you get corned beef slices they come with crisps and salads and sometimes a little chutney The hot chocolate from here is fab It is not far from here to druridge bay and a nice little walk to the ruined chapel

The stalls are roughly the same every week, selling a range of new goods from handmade cards, local prints, handmade gifts and painting. It also has a car boot style area where people sell there old junk and also many antique stalls. There arent many food and drink stalls, but there is a lady who sells fresh homemade samosa's which are lush. There is also a stall selling tes/coffee and cake.

There is a lovely cafe to go and have something to eat in and it also sells burgers and soup outside. After discovering Blagdons, it is now the only place I go for my meat and every friday they do a fantastic offer of two steaks for £5 (including fillet!) These steaks are seriously good and you can really tell the difference between these and the ones you'll get at supermarket. If not to go there for the steak, its worth checking out for the great range of sauces, spreads and cheeses they do. If you like good quality food then give this place a go!

Having flown home from holiday on 23 December to an empty fridge I was wondering how I would deliver Christmas lunch for 10. I was able to buy pretty much everything I needed from Moorhouse in a 45 minute shop. I even managed to pick up some last minute presents - pickles, jams, sauces, nougat, fine chocolates & sweets, local ales...perfect stocking fillers for those who enjoy these things. The staff were friendly, helpful and in festive spirits - a welcome change to the last minute jostling and lack of Christmas cheer elsewhere. There was next no wait to pick up my turkey, due to a very organised system for ordering/collection. The turkey and trimmings were delicious - the easiest Christmas lunch I have ever prepared and to receive such praise for it, for so little effort, was great. I buy my meat, fruit and veg here all year round. It is the best farm shop in the area and remarkably economical as you can buy the quantities you need. For anyone yet to discover this gem - you should try it out.

However, I don't think it was that late into the year to have such little attendence. For what is classed as the best market in East Lothian, I was sorely disappointed in the handful of stalls that were there. Would I return to look earlier in the year? If I was in the area I'd check in to see if there was more to look at, but really, I don't think it is worth the journey. Which is a shame - local sellers should be lauded and celebrated - and the 2 stars go to the vendors who were there as their food and drink looked and tasted delicious where sampled and purchased, but there just was very limited choice, so you would hardly be able to do a decent shop of choice ingredients. Been to better, would like this to be better. Perhaps it will be.
