The interior is a little dated but that doesn't really matter. The card choice is average and this shop doesn't supply anything out of the ordinary, I'm afraid. I wish I could find a those cards that are particularly mean or inappropriate like Happy Divorce! but there are none in this shop! The staff are mostly pleasant but are not particularly helpful. They do stock along with cards the standard items such as soft toys, birthday keys and mugs, party invites and items to use at your part such as party poppers etc.

There's even a fabric stash, rolls end up in bright bins, and a cute pastel ladder that I feel that I must have in my life. There are two nice women's clothes boutiques in the other half of the old shop. In fact Yarm as a whole has had a boom in little fancy boutiques in recent years. Perhaps this explains why Strickland and Holt has had to reduce its size. Shame Stockton couldn't head in that direction too. Or is it possible to fit in another pound shop?

I found the perfect gift for a couple of my friends and bought a few bits for myself also. I contacted the site owner with some questions I had and he promptly and professionally dealt with my query. Upon receiving the items, everything was well packed and just as described expect 1 item had a small bit of damage to it. I contacted the site owner and he was very apologetic, immediately refunded the item and went above and beyond in his customer service despite it more than likely being rough handling by the postman. A very pleasant company with lovely items. Highly recommended for unusual gifts!
