After seeing a few Facebook friends recommending Linda Burns Catering online, I decided to reach…read moreout to her about catering for my backyard baby shower. The scheduling and discussing different menu options were very easy! Pricing is also really reasonable in my opinion. We went with a summer brunch style menu that has been popular with many of her outdoor events. It included many wraps, croissant sandwiches, chicken caesar salad, potato salad, fruit salad, etc. On the event day, the staff delivered it exactly on time, as planned. During delivery, we received an unexpected down-pouring of rain that would not stop. The staff helped us move the food table under a tent and was very understanding with the added commotion going on. We received many compliments during the shower from guests about how delicious the food was! I'm still thinking about the buffalo chicken wrap that I had :) Thank you for providing awesome service and amazing food for our party, Linda! Would highly recommend.

Highly recommended caterer in Deptford N.J. Linda answered…read morethe phone personally and took our order for 23 guests. Meatballs, roast beef, Ceaser salad, and a Mediterranean penne dish. Emily came to house exactly on time and set everything up. All paper plates, cups, cutlery, utensils, breads, butter are all included. Emily was very sweet and efficient. The food was delivered hot, and the chafing dishes kept food hot the entire party. Our picky Italian family raved over the food. I will utilize Linda's catering in the near future. Price out competitors first, then call Linda, you'll be glad you did. "Enjoy"

We were so lucky that our friends referred us to Amy at Love & Lace, who designed and executed our…read moreperfect, seamless wedding day and was incredible to work with throughout the process. My now-husband was hesitant to spend the money for a wedding planner in the beginning, but he very quickly realized the stress relief she provided was more than worth the investment. Amy met with us early in the process to tour the venue we had already selected, get to know us, and start to design our day. Since we didn't have a set vision, she put together two mood boards to gather our feedback which she used to put together our design board. She then guided us toward the perfect vendor team to bring that board to life and helped us to review all of our vendor contracts. From there, she was involved in most, if not all, of our vendor meetings, asking questions we would have never thought to ask and keeping track of all of our details for us. She sent us a monthly to-do list to help us prioritize our tasks and even reminded us when our payments were due. She made herself readily available by text and email throughout the planning process and answered even the smallest of questions with patience, kindness, and enthusiasm. She even helped us choose items for gift bags for our hotel guests, which she then assembled and dropped at the hotel for us. On our wedding day itself, she coordinated our vendors, ensured all decor items were set up as we intended, and made sure my husband, VIP family members, and I had everything we needed. In summary, Amy is incredibly detailed and thorough as well as sweet, enthusiastic, and caring, which makes her an absolute dream to work with, and we are so glad that we did!

I had always wanted to stop in and luckily I had an excuse when I saw they were listed on the the Art Loop earlier this month. I'm a big fan of the Wilmington Art Loop and rarely miss one. I must say though I was shocked to see a $20 entry for the privilege of paying a cash bar and a few finger bites. So, if my wife and I pay the $20 a head cover and each order a bottle of Yeungling it's $52? I don't care how rich you are, you need a hole in your head to pay $52 for two bottles of Miller's Lite. Was this money going to a charity or strictly for profit? I'm not going to begrudge a private club having whatever type of event they want. I am asking though please don't associate your organization with the Art Loop, a traditionally free and fun mingling of the community, if you're going to charge a cover that goes beyond even what a local club would charge on a Saturday while a band is playing. Art was alright, typical of what you would see in a downtown office building. Local landmarks and landscapes. You could actually go to the Brandywine Museum of Art and see some Andrew Wyeth for less than the price of admission here. Even better the Delaware Art Museum only charges $25 for two adults and four children and both of those have a lot more than the dozen work we saw hanging here.
