This was a complete joke. I broke my back. The occupational male therapist was amazing. The physical therapist Sophia was worthless she came took my blood pressure asked if I could go to bathroom and take care of my needs. Never once explained what I could do to help my back strengthen or heal. Told me to lift my legs 15 times each lol. No information on how you strengthen my arms or upper body or back. It's my opinion all they want is to collect the money. When I told them of my complaints they asked if they could out and discharge me. I will be contacting my insurance company to make sure they are aware and don't pay them for a service I didn't get. I check my blood pressure every morning I don't need to have someone waste an hour of my life every week to do that. Please do yourself a favor and get a qualified aftercare. read more

my mother had a personal care service through ambercare and they only showed up when they wanted to show up they never were Dependable I tried to be my mother's caretaker and get paid for being here with her after her stroke and AdvoCare did not help me at all in fact the nurse that was coming I literally had to run her off because she got banging on the door when my mother told her to leave she would not listen or take any direction in meeting even though she showed up only once in awhile they would leave my mother alone for weeks at a time her apartment was completely dirty and her personal care representative Amanda literally took over everything I'm trying to take over her will trying to take over her financing and finances I tried telling Amber care about it but they said oh no that couldn't happen and I have proof that yes it did happen I would not recommend ambercare for anybody's family stay far away from them read more

Absolutely terrible experience with their Hospice team. they do not provide round the clock care if someone is having a pain crisis. This is standard practice in Hospice - I should know as a Hospice NP. our family did not meet a social worker. The nurse kept pushing their chaplain even though my mother refused. of course this is because it is required that someone imminently dying have a visit by at least two separate disciplines and I don't think they have a social worker. The RN had to call out another RN to pronounce the death because she was new. Why they would assign a new nurse to someone in crisis is a question I have for any organization. I've been with Ambercare for quite a while and I'm telling you, find another service. The most recent problem is that my daughter who is my caregiver, put in for time off TWO MONTHS AGO, and they said it was fine. She's no longer in town now as she went on vacation and NO ONE SHOWED UP... AGAIN. So, I'm expecting THREE WEEKS without a caregiver because Ambercare can't be bothered to do the job that THE GOVERNMENT pays them for with TAX MONEY. My daughter is my caregiver because Ambercare can't seem to find ANYONE ELSE for more than two days. She tried to leave once because she was working two jobs at 60 hours a week, but Ambercare can't do anything right, and after having only a day here or there covered, she came back because AMBERCARE CAN'T GET IT TOGETHER. They'll try and sweet talk you and tell you no problem and, every single time, they just can't fulfill their basic business function. If you use Ambercare, you will be left without care most of the time, unless it's through a family member. If you do get a caregiver, it will be some erratic, untrained, or even physically disabled person (I had a 70 year old woman with back issues extreme enough to take prescription opiates for two months in 2023 who couldn't even lift a mop bucket or put dishes away) for a short time until they just disappear and Ambercare tells you they'll find someone else, in a couple of weeks. And don't expect to know who to talk to because they can't even keep a supervisor for long. You'll also never get more than an answering service on the weekend if no one shows up or there's an emergency and on Monday they'll tell you "Sorry, you know, COVID" in 2024. My husband has only had assessments. They are smug and extremely rude and do not answer or receive calls. The nurse was 25 minutes to the assessment, was smug/rude and I am not sure how she ever got a nursing degree (if indeed it wasn't by mail and online and IF she is really medically qualified). She explained she could not change a catheter because she had done a total of five and all patients ended up bloody and needing hospitalization. She ordered supplies that we did not need and then told me we agreed to the items which is untrue. He is allergic to latex and the items arrived unannounced and contain that element. After a negative experience with another care provider, we were very skeptical about starting up with Amber Care. My elder family member was going home from rehab and had home care provided by her doctor. We are VERY happily surprised with this agency! From the outset, they have arrived when expected, all of the workers are very friendly and professional. They seem to really care and are good listeners.
