My sister got married May 2024 and has yet to receive everything she contractual paid for. Outside of just the contractual stuff, he's downright unprofessional. He made a move on the single bridesmaids almost immediately at the wedding. He followed my sister on Snapchat shortly after her wedding and proceeded to snap her videos of him smoking cigars, playing poker, and golf almost daily for weeks. Yet he uses his "poor health" as an excuse for why it's taken almost a year for him to deliver his work. He's also rude and condescending. When my brother in law has reached out for status updates, he's unapologetic and brash. Ruuuuuuun from this man he's a train wreck.

I felt comfortable, relaxed and downright gorgeous the entire time, even shedding a tear or two (maybe 50) at how confident I felt in my own skin ... and then I saw the developed photos and cried all over again. Her talent is limitless. From behind the scenes to behind the lense, Kate knows what she's doing. Between outfit changes and during the shoot, she explained different lights and different angles, and how they all worked together. The photos I received (and disk!) shortly after the shoot were incredible, but still not the best part of the experience. Kate helped me find the confidence and self love I deserve, and reminded me that I should always be proud of exactly who I am. I'll always be grateful for that day, and Kate. And, my face still hurts from smiling during the entire shoot. AND I LIKE IT.

That was our initial reaction to the family photos that Alina shot for us this past weekend. My wife, dog (Macy), and I want to do yearly family photos and needed a photographer in the Northern Virginia area. After a few google searches, we came across Alina Thomas Photography - and we were sold. Alina is THE BEST photographer we have ever worked with, not only was she extremely flexible with our schedule she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable during the shoot. I believe one of the key elements that differentiate a good photographer from a great photographer is their ability to make the shoot fun and you feel comfortable. Alina talked us through each of the poses and looks she needed to get the perfect shot, and the results are amazing! I wish we knew about Alina when we were looking for our wedding photographer, after seeing some of her wedding albums and then experiencing her in action first hand I would have booked her over all the others. With that said, my wife and I could not be more pleased with the photos we received - we will definitely be using her for our family photos next year and referring her to all of our friends. If you need a phenomenal photographer for your engagement, wedding, or just family pictures Alina Thomas Photography is the only photography I will recommend.
