This review is long over due!!! I had the pleasure of meeting up with a couple of my girlfriends whom I hadn't seen since COVID... and really since I changed jobs since we used to work together. We booked the pub cycle tour last minute and we had a blast! We had a bachelorette party that was also part of our tour and all of us had a great old time. We made a few stops and had some drinks and commiserated about cycling while drinking was actually a lot harder than we expected. We certainly got our workout in! This was the highlight of my Asheville experience. Chase and Virginia were so fantastic!! Every minute of this tour was fun! They are very accommodating with your beverages and placing your personal items within the stow area in between stops. They had my purse out and in front of me before I remembered I needed it! Make sure to BYOB! If you have glass, you will have to pour it into a solo cup. Honestly, it's no big deal! We were lucky enough to be with some great people on ours and they gave us some drinks to hold us over until the first stop. Some of the stops have growlers but your best bet is to bring it with you. Book as soon as you know you're going to Asheville though, the tours fill up quickly. The Pubcycle was recommended last minute as THE fun thing to do in Beer City. Reese was the best! He was so awesome and kept us entertained the entire time. We booked the same day and just had a blast! The music he played for us as we pedaled along, the actual tour and all the stops. It was all so worth it! We had a blast and highly recommend that you check it out! You can bring beer or wine in cans and we stopped at 3/4 bars where we were able to sample a variety of beers before jumping back in and getting some views of Downtown Asheville. I booked Amazing Pubcycle for my sister's bachelorette party in late September, and everyone had a blast! I'm sorry to say that I forgot our driver's name, but he was fun, eccentric and kept people laughing. You can't utilize your phone while the pubcycle is in motion, but there are plenty of good photo opps during the stops. Like others have said, it's a challenging cycle at certain hilly parts, but well worth it! It was a great tour of Asheville, and gave us ideas re: other things to do and places to eat. I was a doubter. Now I'm a believer. If fun could be weighed I would say I had a ton o fun!! I booked a party of 6 as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday. Everyone had a blast. Everyone in my party said they would go again. I went on the 90 min tour and it was the perfect amount of time. I chose the 90 min tour because a friend went on the 40 min tour and said it wasn't long enough. Honestly even after 90 min on the tour I could have kept on for another half hour or so but even good things must come to an end. The pubcycle is byob which is awesome and makes drinking in downtown Asheville way more affordable. They have a cooler and red solo cups you bring the wine or beer no hard stuff. I would say this tour is good for locals and tourists alike. My group was a bunch of locals and we were seated with an out of town bachelorette party. Everyone left happy and well entertained. Definitely do the pubcycle tour if you're looking for entertainment and to drink in Asheville. This is a good option for: - entertainment at night for a group or for a couple - a way to make a couple stops at local bars and breweries - kill some time drinking in an unusual way Basically what happens is you meet at the Aloft Hotel in downtown Asheville, hop on this contraption which is a huge cart with ten cycle seats and a bench for three, briefly become acquainted with the driver/host and possibly your contemporaries, and prepare to be entertained and drink! Make sure you BYOB. Only wine and beer is allowed. No liquor. You can also pick up more booze at stops. The host gives everyone a red cup, but if you can bring one of those cups with a straw (or just a straw!), you'll be more comfortable during the ride. During my experience we stopped at two local breweries, and drove around the downtown area. The host plays fun music, riders pedal to help the cart move, and drink along the way. It's kind of like a tour where you learn nothing, have fun, and get ideas for places to check out later, while drinking with a bunch of peddling strangers. It's best if you can fill up the cart with people you know. On my tour there was a creepertastic guy who kept taking pictures and videotaping the group. Also it's pretty public! If you don't enjoy: drawing attention to yourself by way of being part of this loud experience, people on the street looking at you and taking pictures, don't do this! Or at least wear sunglasses and a hat or something else to disguise yourself. Be sure to read all of the rules and to register for a slot! I think $23 for the pubcycle tour 1.5 hours is actually a lot since you just sit there and BYO or pay for booze, but if a drinking experience is what you're after, this is your gig!!! Don't forget it's illegal in Asheville to step off the cart with booze. You will get arrested. read more

Absolutely loved my experience with Asheville Amazing Pubcycle! Our host, Tyler, was probably the best person to have as a host ever. He was entertaining, a great hype man and down to earth. Even when we were down in energy from the lackluster stops, he got us right back into fun-mode. Hints for this: wear tennis shoes. This isn't fully motored powered and you are going to be working. If it's summer, you're going to sweat. Cups with lids are ideal or else you'll spill your drink. *bring cash to tip your driver* The only thing I disliked about this were the stops at the bars. They weren't prepared or acted like we were a burden to them and it ruined the mood for the twenty minute stops. I would much rather do the 45 minute tour with no stops next time than stop and fall out of the amazing mood and time we are having on the pubcycle. read more

They canceled on our Bachelorette cycle tour 2 hours before our reservation. We had booked this almost 2 months in advance. The reasoning was the bike broke down. They were unwilling to put us on another tour, even though I know we reserved well in advance of probably whomever else was out on the street. They said we could have tickets to the break out room as Plan B but never followed through with those tickets. Meanwhile as we figured out something else to do we watched pub cycle after pub cycle pass us on the street. We think they were overbooked and decided to cancel our tour of 7 women. Pretty great thing to do in Asheville. As a word of warning, it is strictly BYOB, and you are 20-30 minutes from your first stop if you fail to bring your own beer. However, someone on board courageously tossed me and my wife a beer. I thought the Pubcycle was great. You cycle through some of the major parts of Asheville, getting some exercise between stopping at some drinking establishments. There is plenty of music, lights, jokes, and "stoplight socials" where everyone on the bike drinks. Don't cycle too hard and you should have a solid time. You also get tons of stares riding the pubcycle, with people running out of bars and restaurants to take photos. read more
