My son wanted to take a tour of Asheville, and we found an amazing option, Tukit. The guide was able to pick us up where we were staying downtown. It was just the three of us, and you can see a lot in the vehicle, which is electric and very quiet. Jennifer was excellent. She knew a lot and even put a happy birthday sign on since it was my son's birthday. We saw the historical sights and then got to choose the last leg of the tour. We chose the Omni Grove Park Inn, which was a lot of fun. One of his favorite parts was the wild turkey Jennifer pointed out on the Montford Area part of the tour. read more

We did a tour with Peter today. A few months ago while passing through Asheville, we spoke to Rich and knew that we wanted to go with Tukit over the other options. We prefer the private tour with conversation over the cattle car with a canned presentation. Peter took us around town and we got out at several places to point out specific details. We drove up into the mountains to see some of the houses and the views. After the tour he helped us recap the places we would go back to visit and then he sent us a text message with some places to go the next day. So a lot of personal touch and 1:1 recommendations. Highly recommend Tukit. I don't know the cost of the cattle car, but I thought Tukit was very reasonable. read more

Five stars is not enough praise for this company. We recently booked a three hour brewery tour (8/20) and were lucky enough to be placed with Peter. From start to finish, our tour guide, Peter, was extremely knowledgeable about the city and provided historical context mixed with humor throughout the engaging 3 hour adventure. As visitors from out of town, Peter and others were extremely helpful in planning our outing. I contacted Tukit because we could not celebrate my wife's Birthday when it occurred, and wanted something special. She always talked about visiting the AVL Rooftop Bars. I contacted Tukit, we both agreed that in the COVID environment this could be difficult (businesses at 50%), but with so many other options to mix in, this could work. We met our tour guide, Peter, a little late, as even getting an Uber was dicey. We went straight to the Montford Rooftop. We never could have gone there (tried previously) but Tukit had reserved a table! The drinks were good, the view was pretty sweet, but now that we'd done it we never realized how small it was! As a change of pace, and my wife's love of wine, Peter suggested Pleb (Pleeeb), a new wine bar in the River Arts District. Pleb was a great choice, but the best part was Peter's knowledge of the local history. Next stop, Capella on 9. On the way, Peter, once again, excited us with the historical and architectural nuggets about AVL. Capella on 9 was huge! Beautiful views, fantastic drinks, and they really handled the COVID safety issues very well. This then led to the high point of our excursion..... on the way to the Grove Park Inn, Peter took us through the Mountain View's on Sunset Drive. Quiet ( the vehicle is electric), peaceful and breathtaking. We ended this at the Grove Park Inn Sunset Terrace for dinner. A reservation that Peter made for us earlier in the week, again the perfect choice. We wise to thank the Tukit Team, and especially Peter, for what my have been the best time my Wife ever had! read more

We enjoyed this tour very much. The older mansions of various architectural styles were beautiful and interesting. Our guide Peter drove us through historic neighborhoods and told us about different houses and buildings. He took us inside the massive omni grove inn. We were driven around downtown with all the shops and eateries. Peter stopped and we bought some wonderful chocolate. It was an awesome tour and we appreciate it very much. read more

12/10 recommend a tukit tour in Asheville! Peter was an absolutely incredible tour guide and knew all of the best spots in town! We had 4 people on the tour and it was a great size for us all to comfortably fit in and a very easy way to experience the city in a short amount of time. Peter was so knowledgeable and gave us a quick history tour prior to going to the breweries. You HAVE to go to the Omni Grove Inn for a drink - the Lavendar 75 was phenomenal! This was such a great way to try lots of new breweries and see all the best spots in town! read more
