She beat the hell out of me. Nothing about it felt good. I…read morewas led to a clean spacious room and left to change and get on the table with the lights dimmed. Minimal coverage provided, so if you're particularly shy, know that only the essentials are hidden. The room was warm enough that I was not uncomfortable. None of the Asian women speak much English, so be prepared for that. They do conduct themselves professionally though! Unlike reviews of other places, my worker stayed in the room and worked on me the full hour, other than fetching a hot towel once. I was not asked about specifics, so it was mostly surface strokes and some stretching. Very light oil. Mostly face down; maybe the last 15 flipped over. Compared to previous experiences at other venues, I don't think that my worker had taken formal classes. I was left to get dressed, and when I did, I was asked for a tip with humility. Thankfully I was not harassed for more money, as I've read happens at other places. I picked up a card on the way out: Golden Phoenix Massage. Not the same as what is on the door. Maybe they did, or are, rebranding? Summary: It was a good, basic relaxation massage for $60. If you want a more therapeutic experience, go to one of the many places around that charges $90 or more.

I've always believed in muscle medicine through massage and always appreciate the relief I feel after a deep tissue massage. The first time I got a massage here I was pleasantly surprised by the attentiveness of the staff here. They immediately have you sit down near the door to take your shoes off and put indoor slippers on and they walk you to the massage room. I remember the massage being exactly what I needed at the time. More recently, I booked my boyfriend and I a couples massage for our anniversary, something we've both needed for awhile. We've both been stressed and tense lately and I thought this would be the perfect way to celebrate. They welcomed us as we got in for our appointment and got us settled into our room. Each masseuse could find easily where are muscles needed the most attention. I appreciate that they also stretched my arms to further aid in the relief of my upper back. Our massages were much needed and helpful for both of us. I look forward to heading back here for another massage soon to work through my tight muscles. This location is perfect for where we live. Not too far, ample parking and near Ital Vital as well!! If you're looking for a great massage at a reasonable price I would highly recommend making an appointment here.

I can honestly say that l've never experienced a massage as incredible as the one this massage…read moreplace has given me. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that they are not only highly skilled but truly passionate about what they do. The session I had left me feeling better, more relaxed, and at ease, and I genuinely look forward to the next appointment. When I first went I had so much pain and tension in my back, neck, and shoulders. For anyone reading this, I want to emphasize that this is a professional, therapeutic massage service, and if you're looking for anything other than genuine relaxation and healing, this is not the place for it. The level of professionalism they bring to every session is unmatched, and it's clear that their focus is entirely on helping clients feel their best-not just physically, but mentally as well. My masseuse was Lily, despite the language barrier she explained to me via google translate what the coloring on my back meant. One of the things that has stood out most to me is how comfortable and relaxed I felt during the session. I've even found myself drifting off to sleep -- more than once! It's not just a sign of how effective their massage techniques are, but how trusting I feel in their care. I can completely let go, knowing that I'm in the good hands of Lily.

I've got no complaints about professionalism or atmosphere - both were fine - but the quality of…read morethe massage itself was incredibly subpar. I went for a deep tissue massage wanting to get some of the knots in my aching shoulders worked out and I can tell you I walked out in just as much pain as I walked in with - no improvement. The massage therapist tried to sell that you 'couldn't fix everything in a day' which I understand, but when you pay for an hour long session you expect at least some trace of relief. She seemed incredibly hesitant to apply any pressure to actually get anything worked out, even when I pointed directly to a problem area. I would not recommend this place for those who prefer firmer pressure. Edit: Michelle was super fast in getting back to me which I appreciate. She offered me an appointment with an alternative massage therapist, which I've taken her up on. Very good customer support. Edit: Michelle arranged to have me come in for another appointment with a different massage therapist, Zoe, who did a wonderful job and finally got me out of the pain I've been in for weeks. A very good group of people. I would especially recommend Zoe's services.

I had the opportunity to visit Marvin a couple months ago thanks to a Groupon - I am really glad…read morethat I found Marvin and he did an excellent job. For me, I usually prefer lighter strokes so I avoid male therapists or make sure to advise this - Marvin did an excellent job following my preference and checking in with me to make sure that I was well. Marvin's business is inside a very well-kept professional center, so you can go in the back entrance and it's super easy to find. Everything is in one office, so you'll complete your intake and the massage in the same room. The temperate, noisy level and ambience were all as expected and I did not have any problems with these items throughout. Bathrooms are located nearby for before or after the appointment. The only item that was slightly disappointing was regarding the time spent on particular areas. I seek massage for overuse due to sports officiating, and I've been getting massages for years so I know exactly where the time is best spent. I generally request that the massage therapist limit time on the upper back and skip stomach, neck, face, and arms. The only minor complaint I had was that we spent nearly 10+ minutes on the upper back. Seems minor, but for me it's a valuable 10 minutes that could have been spent on the lower body where I needed it. I know I mentioned on the intake form, but I also could have/should have mentioned it during the session. I'm usually minimal conflict, but I'm sure if I would have addressed it, Marvin would have fixed it. I have no doubt because everything else was wonderful and well taken care of. For that reason, I did not deduct any rating for this. It's a good lesson for others getting massages - it's your time. Make sure you are vocal about what you want and feel free to request corrections during the session if it's not meeting your expectations.
