This experience was BEYOND my expectations - everything from the booking process, to the nice little extras (my confirmation email even said 'Ahoy Alison!! Happy Birthday!!'). The boat was decorated with paper lanterns and a Happy Birthday banner too! Our captain Ed, took us out on the water for a little over 2 hours and as we sailed, we saw beautiful Shelter Island, the San Diego skyline, tons of sea lions, and some pretty phenomenal waterfront homes. They have an iPod hookup so I was able to play my own tunes (a special birthday playlist of course), and you can bring your own wine, champagne, snacks, etc. My friends couldn't stop raving about the experience. It was such a nice time, truly a memorable afternoon, and one of the best birthdays I've ever had. They definitely go the extra mile and I wouldn't have found them if it wasn't for Yelp. If you're looking to do something unique or celebrate any kind of occasion, this is definitely money well spent. Thank you Ed for showing us such a good time yesterday!!!

I…read morebriefly mentioned that it would be a bachelorette group on the phone when booking and to our surprise the boat was beautifully decked out with bride to be decor. Ed gave all the credit to his wife. True gentleman! Booking was easy. I found San Diego Comfort Cruise on yelp. Based on all the great reviews I decided to book on the spot, which was great because that meant less time spent planning. I called Ed to request the date. At the time he was away from a computer, but said he'd to call me back and gave me a reasonable timeframe. He called back right when he said he would and we charted our cruise. I received a confirmation e-mail soon after, just as he said I would. When we arrived for our tour Captain Ed made sure everyone in our group had a blast. They have an audio hookup so you can play your own music. They also have a mini fridge on board so our champagne and snacks were kept cool. They provided drinking water, all the serving ware and utensils, and blankets to keep us warm. The duffy is electric so you can enjoy music and conversation. There was so much to enjoy. Ed was very knowledgeable of Shelter Island history, activity, and it's wildlife. Believe me....we asked a lot of questions. I'm looking forward to the next occasion for booking a harbor cruise with San Diego Comfort Cruise!

The camp's description didn't do it justice. Our time on the Jada was a sailing class on the water! Perfect for Boy Scouts that were working on the Small Boat Sailing merit badge and learning to sail catamarans. Carole broke the boys into four groups and had them raise the sails, learn knots, learn how to read navigational charts, and steer the boat! The groups would rotate so everyone had an opportunity. The cruise around the harbor was beautiful and Carole and the crew filled us in on the sites and history. We'd do this again in a heartbeat.

My daughter and I were visiting San Diego for a one-week trip because I was required to come here for work. My workdays were pretty packed, but my daughter and I also took advantage of this trip by filling our evenings with lots of fun activities. On one of our evenings while we were here we were invited to experience a journey with Triton Charters. I have no idea how much it costs because our dear friends demanded to pay our way, but I can say that it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My friend, John, told me that he has experienced this journey several times and sometimes they offer reduced pricing, where customers can purchase their tickets in advance. Obviously, if you have reserved a time for a scheduled departure, you should make sure you get here with plenty of time to spare. This is one of those experiences that you just can't be late for. I would imagine that San Diego traffic can be busy at times, and finding someplace to legally park may be tricky as well, so plan accordingly. The entire journey took about two and a half hours. We boarded a large catamaran owned by Triton Charters at about 5:45pm for a 6:00pm departure. We slowly cruised down north San Diego bay, and then down to San Diego bay. We returned by the same route. We passed several beautiful and historic sites along the way, including the Maritime Museum of San Diego, the Star of India, Portside Pier (with all the beauty of San Diego skyscrapers in the background), a visiting Japanese battleship, the USS Midway Museum (in all her glory), the kissing sailor statue, and we sailed under the San Diego-Coronado Bridge, just to name a few. We returned back to port at around 8:15pm. So, full disclosure, I have a demanding job, and I often find myself stressed out with all the demands on my performance. I only note this because this was the perfect experience I needed; this journey around the bay was therapeutic and it helped me to de-stress. I would imagine that this would be very beneficial for several other individuals as well. Having a wonderful evening summer breeze, pleasant music, watching small boats and yachts sail by in the calmness of the ocean bay, and being surrounded by wonderful friends...nothing could be better. If you are in the area, I highly encourage you to add this to one of your joyful experiences while you are here. It will be a memory of a lifetime.

The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the trip. Drinks were available for purchase at pretty reasonable prices, and the boat itself was clean and well maintained. The ride lasted about 2.5 hours and had some really nice views of San Diego Bay and the downtown skyline. Definitely recommend keeping an eye out for their Black Friday ticket deals too since you can usually get a much better rate. Overall, a fun way to spend an afternoon on the water!
