The ticket (which we had to pay for in advance) included a brunch buffet, painting station, and bottomless mimosas. The spread of food was disturbing. It was cold grits, cold eggs, sausage, hard waffles, and chicken strips. They had nothing keeping the food hot and clearly didnt have enough food for everyone. The food wasn't edible AT ALL. I was completely embarrassed that I invited ppl and had them pay IN ADVANCE for that! No one in my party was happy and we were forced to leave cuz we were so hungry. What's even WORSE is the way the team handled our dissatisfaction. I reached out after the fact to inquire about a refund and MANNY, the guy behind the event refused and instead tried to offer me discounted tickets to ANOTHER EVENT. My friend also left a comment about the situation on their instagram and they DELETED HER COMMENT. Then said "we reached out to her via dm" BAD BUSINESS. I will NEVER attend an event at Pearl or any other function thrown by premo. TERRIBLE LOOK.

I was attracted to their current exhibit, Ten by Ten... over 300 works of art all in a 10 x 10 format. Kaitlyn was super helpful and took plenty of time to explain the exhibit. She also mentioned all the pieces were available online. We looked and looked and looked. We found a few pieces we liked, but the prices seemed out of our price range. We liked one that was affordable, but we didn't love it. When we were called for our table next door, we didn't think we'd get to come back before the gallery closed, but that wasn't the case. We were excited to be able to come back in for another view. Here's the thing. I am more likely to spend money online than I am in person. I suppose it makes no sense, but as soon as we got back to the hotel I checked out the art online and ended up buying the piece we both loved and decided (in the gallery) that it was simply too expensive. Hmm, I suppose it wasn't too expensive after all. We would have had any art purchased shipped to us even if we had purchased it in the gallery. Ordering it online was no different. We can't wait for it to arrive.

We attended the "Ten by Ten" art exhibit opening at the Jackson Junge Gallery on November 7, 2025…read more It is a fun show that involves about 300 artists, who produced artworks that measure 10" x 10" each with different media. The styles cannot be more different from each other. If you are an artist, this would be a good chance to get inspired. If you are a patron, this is a compact exhibit with so many artworks in very reasonable prices. The show runs through January 11, 2026. The gallery is about 3,500 sq. feet. On a normal day, it would be airy and modern, providing a tranquil environment for patrons or any walk in to appreciate the art. However, with about 300 artists, who also invited their friends and relatives to the show opening, it was loud and very crowded, and was even chaotic at times. The "Ten by Ten" show took up about ¼ to 1/3 of the space, causing attendees to congregate in that small area. With the opening running from 6:00 pm to 10 pm, we arrived around 8:30 pm, it was still jam-packed with people. There was a bar station close to the entrance, with white wine, cranberry juice (or some fruit juice), and water available. There was a sign suggesting a $2 donation for each of the beverages. Pop corn was free and self-served, that attracted some pop-corn lovers. I accidentally saw stacks and stacks of 10" x 10" art work on a table in the back room that were still not hanged. Apparently, if an artist has more than one piece of art chosen for the show, he/she would only get one piece of art displayed at a time. It is only after his/her first piece of art is sold that the second piece would be displayed. Some artists only had one piece of art in the show, after their art had been sold, there's an empty spot on the wall. I also saw three pieces of artwork like a set in display, and also two similar artworks in the exact style being displayed at the same time. Their system seems to be flawed and unfair to some of the artists. Expect to use street parking as the gallery does not have a parking lot or garage. All-in-all, it was a fun night to the artists and the people whom they invited. There's a group of 5 to 6 friends who all wore a green beret to support their artist, who had a green beret in the little self-sculpture that he made. Fun!

They have a free parking lot plus ample street parking and a security guard who was very pleasant and directed everyone to the elevator to get to the event space upstairs. They were able to cater plus have a DJ (and great acoustics) drinks, and guests of all ages. It was the perfect venue for our family and friends, centrally located in the near westside area. Wilmer was so patient and gracious as we hung out longer than the allocated time and he was so accommodating. It exceeded all our expectations as we were already excited to attend. Warning: while aprons are provided, acrylic paint stains - wear clothes you don't mind becoming "painter chic" should your brain reach to scratch an itch forgetting what it's covered it. Let me take you back to elementary school art class. Every time I walked into that classroom, I hoped that I would be working with liquid paint, but alas, it was a rarity. I've heard about these paint and sip experiences, and wanted to give it a try for a bit. Recently, I finally had the opportunity to give it a go. It ended up being a fantastic experience! Furthermore, while I wasn't that impressed with my own work while comparing to some of the others in the studio, when I looked at it the next day, i couldn't help but feel at least a little proud of myself. I am still a little shocked that "I made this, and it looks great!" The staff at the studio were all around great! They helped us be as creative as we wanted to be, with some people (including myself) requesting supplemental colors). We were also welcome to add our own elements, or even paint something entirely different. Kudos also to the guide for being loud enough to be clearly heard (especially as someone with hearing loss), and on the instructions being easy to follow. While it would have been nice if the setup was such that her head wasn't in the way while she was painting, I appreciate that this can be hard to accomplish without a bunch of electronics. Finally, as we were all there as part of an organized experience through 222 (dinner with strangers and some kind of event to follow), the staff was also fantastic about incorporating blocks of time for us to take a break, socialize, and change seats, if we so fancied. Thus, I enjoyed myself so much that I am looking at returning at some point in the near future and trying my hand at a different painting. Soon, there will be more art on my walls, and when I have people over, I will be able to proudly tell them that these are things I painted myself (with just a little guidance).

There are hundreds of historic romantic images and clever comtemporary sayings on stamps (some rather large), and inks and pads for sale. You will also find zines and mail art there. Everthing is neatly organized and displayed. This is a destination spot and you have to make an appointment with Artistic Director Darlene or Curator and Creative Director Picasso. I attended an opening featuring hand carved rubber stamps by Nesho and it was one of the nicest openings that I ever attended - very friendly people and lots of food!
