You have to immediately go through a lengthy three-phase process to choose that photo --no consulting with friends/partners. Okay, so maybe I should have found the fine print, but it turns out "professionally edited" means "created by AI." It generated an image that looks like a 25-year-old digital avatar of me, quite different from the original photo. The website also claims that "We offer 2 rounds of free revisions," but I have not received a response a week after asking for one. So, I'm using the raw image, which is fine.

Ted was incredibly patient with my kids and managed to capture so many sweet and adorable moments naturally. However, after going through the process, I can say with certainty that it was definitely worth the price! Coriander is incredibly friendly and helpful through the process. She is also a great photographer, and I have never had better photos taken of me! I had head shots done at her palo alto studio, and it was both fun and productive. All my friends have complimented my photos. In terms of the process, she spent well over an hour taking probably 60 photos of me (for head shots) in several different outfits. We then meticulously went through all the photos and winnowed the list down. When I couldn't figure out which photo to pick, she even put up proof on a private webpage so that I could show them to some friends to help me pick. The studio is part of his living room and is very comfortable and informal, which I appreciated. Sergei himself is a nice guy and puts you at ease in what can sometimes be an awkward situation. The process was very efficient: I was with Sergei for about 20 minutes, he sent me the raw images that night and I picked my favorite the following morning, and by the day after that he sent me the retouched version that I could drop into my LinkedIn profile. About 48 hours from start to finish. Cost $100. (Note that he prefers PayPal, so if possible, be prepared to pay that way.) I would happily use Sergei again and would not hesitate to recommend him.
