Amapola means poppy. And they had us hooked when they welcomed us into their intimate 18 seat restaurant for dinner with Motown music, James Brown and Sly and the Family Stone.
The three of us ordered 8 of the 11 tapas type of dishes. The watermelon with tapenade, feta and gazpacho was a real hit, as was the gnocchi, the polpo tacos and the crispy focaccia. We chose minervois wines to accompany the dishes.
Reservations are essential and can be made in person.
