Dr Morgan is very good. She listens and never patronising. I wish they would renovate their surgery though and the wait times even with an appointment can be annoying. read more

Miss this clinic since we moved out of Sydney! Get treated like a person, not a patient…read more Collaborative, progressive, empowering, responsive, credible. Drive collaboration and communication between parts of the system and all focused around me (and my family) as health consumers! One of the things I miss most about Sydney. Ozdocs online - repeat scrtips, test results etc on line. Every staff member was excellent from administration, nursing, GPs, students! Can't recommend it highly enough!
I highly don't recommend this clinic. We visited this clinic a few weeks ago for the first time…read more The doctor that we saw on that day was lovely. I needed to put my son in Australian Immunization System as we recently moved from overseas. I contacted AIR to double check if they have received my son's immunization history from overseas, and they said that they still haven't received from the doctor yet....I contacted the clinic, but the receptionist said that the doctor is on holiday, and she couldn't do anything for me. They are not helpful at all. After explaining my situation, she said that she would fax it to AIR. I then called AIR to check if they have received the fax from the clinic, and they said they haven't. Very disappointing service!!!!!!!!

I had to go in for multiple blood tests once a week over the course of a month and despite that I saw the same doctor each time, not once did she remember who I was! I know Doctors see lots of patients every day but if you want to find a doctor who you feel you can trust, who recognises you and who actually gives a stuff about why you are there, than I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.
Avoid this practice! We brought our 6 year old in with likely pneumonia. He was started on…read moreantibiotics and we were told to call back on Wednesday for the swab results. On Wednesday we were told we need an appointment to get the results and the next available appointment was Friday. On Thursday he deteriorated and had to go to hospital by ambulance. It turns out that he had a different strain of pneumonia to the one he was prescribed antibiotics for, and if anyone had checked the results we could have got the right antibiotics in time to avoid a hospital stay. When I complained to the practice they saw no issue with this and did not agree there should be a process in place to review test results of patients whose doctor is not working that day. The doctor we saw was fine but this practice has no regard for patient outcomes.
All you need to know about Leichhardt Medical Centre in five sentences:…read more 1) There are heaps of doctors on site, but expect a long wait during busy periods, especially Mondays and Weekends (on some cases waiting over an hour) . 2) It doesn't matter which doctor you get, they're all decent, friendly and helpful. 3) Unfortunately, the same can't always be said about the receptionists. 4) They Bulk-Bill 5) The Medical Centre has everything you need on site, including a pharmacy, pathology unit, dentist and radiologist. Yep, that's about it.

But after such a really great experience from the manager, who has messaged me and who has personally apologised for the bad experience I've had, I can't but melt a little at the whole process, and the wonderful way in which Fiona has structured her reply ;- that she has taken the time to reply given my less than complimentary first appraisal is gutsy and I like that. My review is updated now reflecting my admiration for a really courageous professional move from the manager, and I can't fault Fiona's contact with me - in fact I laud and salute it as something "well done".... so - Well done. Thanks Fiona, on a personal level from me, and the offer of the refund is welcome, but unnecessary - the offer of it alone is enough. Congrats on the direction DMC is obviously taking.

Dr Mark has been my local GP for as long as I can remember, and will bulk bill to medicare for you…read more He is relaxed and easy going, polite, and professional. I went in to get a health check which was required for a personal matter of travel, and he said he would take care of it on the government system instead of requesting me to pay privately, which is what is usually required. The practice is small, and you can't call in to make a reservation, but the waiting room is small, so it can't be more than 3 person wait. He will do call-outs for locals, elderly people, and small children in emergency matters.

But she never asked questions relating to my lifestyle and presentation, in fact I felt she was quite judgemental and disapproving, which was not at all helpful. Could have saved me a lot of pain and help to avoid placing myself in dangerous situations had she taken the time to delve a little and ask a few questions. I never forgot this, it had such a huge impact on my life, not having anyone who cared enough to take an interest and have a chat.

There are of course free clinics to get your child immunized but I like the personal approach rather than the production line 'next!' style of some clinics. I did quick search on Google for GP's in my area and came across plenty of reviews on Dr Linda Morton highlighting her supportive and family oriented approach. Taking your baby to get a needle jabbed in her arm isn't the pleasant of experience as any new mum will confirm. The doctor was gentle and quick which I appreciated but wasn't as warm and welcoming as I'd have liked given it was my first visit. I felt a bit rushed and walked out not feeling compelled to go back. My community nurse recommended another doctor in the area. Dr Morton is good for those who like the old home style feel rather than a clinical polished surgery.
