I was sold on the ambiance alone. Amante is a really cute spot for girls' night or a date. Although not confined to four walls, it still gives a cozy vibe. I love that they offer movie screenings and other themed activities/events. A friend & I had drinks and tapas at the bar but there were other options for seating either in the open area w/ umbrella tables or under the awning. Our drinks were pretty good and I would go back for such. I loved the drinkware! I had a chicken burrito bowl that was just ok. It lacked seasoning and I had to add salsa & lime juice to give it a little life. I don't see it offered on the most current menu. There wasn't a whole lot on the menu I could eat to avoid dairy, pork, and beef; so, I was happy to find that this dish was easily customizable. My friend had the birra barria tacos and really enjoyed them along with taquitos. The bartender seemed to be in her own world and aloof - maybe she a lot on her mind. She was holding the bar down by herself and seemed to be cleaning a lot. I can't say she was very friendly or attentive to us; however, when I got her attention, she delivered. We've been here twice now to have tacos and enjoy a nice relaxing evening with our son who is attending medical school. You do have to get here at the right time otherwise seating is first come first serve and you'll wait in line. Although the portions are quite small. The food is good. It's entirely outdoors but there are multiple covered areas, heaters, and fans so it's somewhere I will go year round. I actually stopped thinking it was a brewery but was pleasantly surprised to find it's a taco place with adult beverages lol! It's got the cutest outdoor seating areas and a building of indoor seating that's got the plastic walls that can be pulled back on nice days. Tonight it was damp and cool and they had walls closed but heaters were on which was very nice!! They had few tvs too playing variety of sports channels. The men's and women's bathrooms were several small buildings looked like cargo boxes with plants hanging .. very cute and well thought out. The bar was outside with chairs all around. There was an area with fire pit and grassy spot for corn hole games. Casually hip kinda spot.. the food was great! I had the 3 salad and chips.. choice was 3 cheese melted, guacamole kind and a pineapple habanero! All three were great! Pineapple one was chunks and had just little kick it too spicy.. then I overheard someone say churro so I had to give that a try! That my friends did not disappoint!! Holy cow I thought it would be smaller but came out hot and when you bite into it the inside was gooey just little and in middle of plates a cup of ice cream with whip topping .. churros sprinkled with caramel drizzle .. it was amazing!! They had a special margarita price tonight for $5 regular plastic cup margarita for $5 or few flavors for $6.. I had one mango and my last drink was a blueberry margarita.. both I chose sugar rims.. very good especially for price! This place has its own parking lot so you don't have park on the road too. Great place for a recent girls night out with friends! I had a bowl which had a definite kick to it! Very tasty and it was no problem omitting the rice. Our server was lovely and she did a great job despite having several really large tables. My only "complaint " (and this is super minor) is the lack of napkins and at times it was tough to get drink refills. We will definitely be back. read more

This place has such good potential. It's a great spot with awesome decor and vibes. The drinks were average at best. I ordered a peach margarita that tasted like pure salt. The regular margaritas were average as well. We tried the chip trio with the 3 most popular sides which included a classic salsa, salsa verde and a mango salsa. The classic salsa was bland, the verde was flavorful and had a bite but the mango was by far the best. Drinks were a bit pricey, 4 costing aprox $50. Hopefully as the weather continues to be warm they can get it together a little better with the drink options. They only had one vodka drink on their menu and when I tried to order it they said they didn't have it because they didn't have a blender. Overall, great atmosphere but needs some work. read more

Overall good experience. I have some concerns with bartender practices. Avery goes into the ice bin with glasses rather than using the metal scooper. She uses the scooper when she has a metal shaker..go figure. Chipping glass can end up in the ice bin and cut throats as it makes its way into drinks. I wanted a 2nd drink but didn't dare order another. Avery also sneezed into the back of her hand and then apologized...but never washed her hands even though sanitizer was 2 seconds away. The two tacos I had were good pork tender, and the chicken was tough. Both were saucy. The server dropped the tacos off without napkins. The tacos are messy cause the sauce is not put on them with care so it makes a mess and you have then hunt down napkins. For the great atmosphere, tasty food, delicious cocktails, service standards are not keeping pace with the price point. Bar manager needs to set and enforce higher standards with glass handling and sanitation. read more
